Marriage in trouble

Hello,
My wife Evelyn and I have been married for almost 5 years. We have a 4 year old and 3 year old, she also has a 13 year old that calls me dad and I claim as my own.
When we got together Evelyn made me feel like a king. She was so wonderful and did so much for me, it made me feel so special. I took it for granted and started to expect the above and beyond to continue. I then expected her to go above and beyond the above and beyond.
I feel into a depression for the last two years. The harder she tried the worse I was.
Demanding, controlling, ungrateful. Two months ago she stayed out all night. I know she is not cheating. I was trying to find her, I listened to the voice mail saved on her cell phone and I heard a message I had left her. Mean, hateful, demanding. wrong. If she had treated me like that I would have gone crazy. It opened my eyes and allowed me to "snap out of it"
Here is the problem. She says I was supposed to be the nice guy, I was supposed to be the one that never was going to hurt her (she has a past that saw her abused physically and mentally) She says she resents me, doesn't love me, and wants to leave, that she is just around now cause she is trying to let me down easy, that she knows it will be hard on me.
I love her with all my heart. All her gripes about me for the last two years are correct, I was wrong and I am saying that and apologizing for it. I am asking her for a chance to show her I am the person that I was when we got together , that the person I was the last two years was not me (but the depression) I need her to give me a chance. Please pray for us, that we can stay together and that she will not leave, that she will open her heart to me again and allow our love to grow strong again. Please pray for our family to remain whole and that I can be the husband she needs always.

RE: Marriage in trouble

Lord look down upon this couple and have this man's depression disappear from him for the rest of his life. Let him be able to rejoice in you and never again fall into any kind of despair or depression. He has realized how bad he behaved toward his wife Evelyn, but let him realize also that he has opened up old scars from her past. She must be hurting as much as him or more Lord. So I ask that you will perform a miracle for both of them by healing them both soon before this marriage falls apart. Bind them together with you precious Love, forgiveness, understanding, kindness, and fill their life with happiness and praises toward you for the wonderful things you have done for them. Bless this family and let nothing nor anyone be able to separate them from you or from each other. May all these be done for your Glory Heavenly Father, I ask and thank you in Jesus Precious Name, Amen! Warrior

RE: Marriage in trouble

Thank you for the prayers, please keep them coming. My heart is so hurt. My wife has agreed to go to the counselor (Pastor and his wife) but she says she is going to work on her anger, not us. She maintains that she is done and that she doesn't love me. This is the worst pain I have ever felt in my entire life. There is nothing I can do but pray and ask others to join me. The only way my family will be saved is by God, he's the only way I can keep my wife. If you feel led please continue to pray for me. I need strength, I am emotionally wiped out, I hurt deep down, a pain that I can't describe, We are so close to being able to get ahead for the first time in years, I have no doubt if I can just have the chance our relationship can be better than it ever was. But again, it can only happen with Gods help. Please pray for us, thank you

RE: Marriage in trouble

Lord please comfort this man who has repented for his wrong-doings of the past. Please also speak to his wife's heart to forgive him. Let her realize that marriage is not meant to end in divorce even though her heart is hardened, and remind her that anyone who divorces and remarries commits adultery, according to Your word. Let them both be renewed in a most intimate relationship with You, and be renewed with each other. Let this experience be used for Your glory and a testimony to others of Your mercy and grace. In Jesus' name, Amen

"Surrounded by Your Glory what will my heart feel, will I dance for You Jesus, or in awe of You be still. Will I stand in Your presence or to my knees will I fall, will I sing Hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all..."

RE: Marriage in trouble

Thank you all for the continued prayers. We woke up today and my wife had a troubled look on her face. I asked what was wrong and she said "I was up all night thinking about all the things that have hurt me, that have made me angry, and I want you to go already." She said that if I won't go she will.

Not sure what is going to happen I'll leave the house before I push her to move someplace and make things harder on the kids. Either way, I am going to stand for our marriage until I'm replaced. As long as she's not with someone else there is hope that God can restore us. She said "You can't fix us" and I told her she was right, that all i could do was work on myself, pray, and with help from above we could be better than ever before, she didn't have an answer for that one. Please continue to pray. I truly believe that God is the only one who can save my family.

RE: Marriage in trouble

Father in Heaven, We will not waiver in our requests to You, as You are faithful and just to forgive us from our sins, and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Your glory is so great and powerful! Your justice is purer than the whitest of white...Your voice shakes the mountains and the foundation of the earth...From everlasting to everlasting, You are God! We give You all the glory and praise Lord! Speak to this woman's heart, Father. For Your will is that marriage does not end in divorce. You have taught us that it is because of our hardened hearts that we divorce, so I plead with You Father that you will soften this woman's heart, and renew her relationship with her husband. Deliver them from this evil and separation from You, and give them joy and peace, serving You for the rest of their lives. All for Your glory and Kingdom! In Jesus' most precious name, Amen

"Surrounded by Your Glory what will my heart feel, will I dance for You Jesus, or in awe of You be still. Will I stand in Your presence or to my knees will I fall, will I sing Hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all..."

RE: Marriage in trouble

Lord help this man be able to convinced his wife of how repented he is for the way he treated her in the past. Also heal all the hurt his wife Evelyn has from her past and from now. Heal her heart and wash her mind with calvary's blood so that she can forget the awful past. May she realize that we are all human and deserve a second change. Give this man strength to coninue working on himslef and have him be deliver from that dependant, demanding, and controlling spirit so that he can have a normal loving relationship in his life. Protect the children involved also in this marriage Lord and I pray this won't affect them for the rest of their life's. Yes Lord put a hedge of thorns around the whole family. Bind them together once more with you Love and let nothing or anyone be able to separate them ever again from you or from each other. Have them make you Lord of their life and marriage. I ask and thank you in Jesus Christ Precious Name so that you may be Glorify Heavenly Father, Amen! Warrior
