RE: Believing for a miracle can feel lonely
Many, Many years ago all in my family, friends and people from church used to tell me to forget my husband, since he had left me for another woman out of the blue. I never suspected anything like this would happened to our marriage. But I felt God telling me to hang in there, I also remembered all the good times we used to have, how he was my best friend way before we got serious and married. How understanding he was toward me, and all the plans we had of someday traveling. One day I got home from work as I opened the door, I saw some of our small items gone, and the place a mess. Went to the bedroom and something made me look in his closet it was empty. That morning we had gone to work together, then he switch train to go to the west side where he worked, he even gave me a kiss before switching trains, I continued to my job. So you can imagine what a shock it was to me, I called his job and I was told he had quit the day before.
So I was advised by my family to divorce him, I went to a lawyer but I felt like part of me was missing, and if I divorced him I would never be the same. After talking to a lawyer, I realized he was making the situation worse.
I had this terrible voice telling me, you have not let me handle this, the lawyer is not the answer. I called the lawyer and told him I had to think this over more before I proceed with the divorce.
I turned my husband over to God and prayed like I had never done before, I felt this assurance that God will answer my prayers. He did, but it took seven years of me waiting and praying. In those seven years we got together and separated twice. I continued praying, and one day he went to church with me, to my surprise when the alter call was given he was the first one to get up and go to the alter. He was raised with no religion his parents were humanists, but it took a praying wife to stand on the gap for him. Today he has become my best friend again, and we do many things together, and we laugh and love each other very much. Everyone who saw what I went through in the first ten years of my marriage can't believe we have survived it. Today we are both in our seventies and very happily married, all that happened more than forty years ago. I remain faithful to my husband and to our Lord, hanging onto our Lord with all my might, thanks to God he answered my prayers. It wasn't easy nor overnight, because God had a lot of work to do in me and in my husband too. We are more
wiser now, and even give our advice to others that are having problems in their marriage. He too now agrees that all during that time he felt like half of himself was missing when he was not with me. You see the enemy tries to destroy what's good, and bring others to tempt our spouses so it would be easy for him to get in to destroy us. It's a spiritual battle we can fight only with God on our side, with prayer, reading the bible, and listening to Christian music too.
I pray the Lord will answer your prayers and give you the desires of your heart, but first seek the kingdom of God with all your heart, love God first, make him all in your life, and let Steven up to God. When you put God first in your heart and give him your all, you can see miracles happening. If it is not God's will for Steven to come back, then God will give you his peace, and take him out of your heart. Then when you less expect it, you will find someone better than Steven, who will appreciate you more. Someone you can be happy with, also one that will serve the Lord with you. I pray this in Jesus name amen.
