I desperately need prayer that God will open my husband's eyes and show him the truth and stop the divorce that he says he's going to file for. My husband has truly been brainwashed into believing false teachings of his parents, including the idea that a husband becomes equal to God in his wife's eyes when they marry. He also believes that a wife is supposed to obey her husband no matter what, even if it goes against what she believes is God's will. According to him, the wife isn't accountable for any sin that comes from something her husband tells her to do; he says the husband is accountable for anything he tells the wife to do. My husband believes that disobeying him is the same as disobeying God, since he thinks the Bible says a wife is to obey her husband and doesn't distinguish between a Godly husband and one who isn't. He also doesn't see any difference between obedience and submission.

I love my husband very much and I can't stand the thought of our daughters (12 years and 15 months) losing their Daddy. He's very angry and says he can't stand to even talk to me, although I always try to be kind and loving. He is telling me that I have to drop off our baby with his parents, who she doesn't know because they haven't seen her in six months and who taught him these wrong things, and leave her for the night (she's only spent three nights away from me and was with my parents, who babysit her while I'm at work). Because of the way he was raised, he doesn't understand the importance of nurturing our kids. He needs to be right with God and says he plans to be someday, if God lets him live long enough!
