RE: Thanksgiving and other news
I agree with previous posts, in His Name.
Also, Mel, did you ever think too that God Allows struggles in your life, that you do pray & call on HIS NAME?
What a joy for Him To See this that you are always seeking HIM.
You also are not afraid to pray with others, so you are an example in your testimoney of your life, as a witness to Christ.
From all you have written, this is I believe your greatest testimoney, your continued faith in HIM. That alone is precious as He Is, The I Am.
Don't give up. The world is at a crossroads & our journey to our True Home may indeed be near!

I come to You now thanking You for Mel-S's testimony and for having her so willing to open up. Lord, her life has been an example for me and I pray Lord that in this tough time that You would show her Your will. Lord, I understand how hard it is when things seem to be falling all around you like your world is caving in. Lord, I ask that You would show her as You once showed me why things the way they are and what You would have her to do. Show her that You want to answer her prayers in the best way possible...that Your will is sovern and that no matter what happens, You are still God and that You will always love her. I pray that You would comfort her--her faith is wavering and I pray that You would make progress this week. I ask that You would show her what You have in store for her.
In Christ's name I pray. Amen.
Mel-S,
Just trust in the Lord during this time...don't focus so much on what you want to happen. That's very hard advice, but I think that you need to hear it. I have found in my life that when you focus on what's going on around you it takes your trust away from the Lord. I know that you said that you have faith, but I can also sense that you are struggling (and I don't mean to badger you in any way--all of this is said in love). Focus purely on God--don't think so much about being reunited with your ex or with the other issues going on in your home. Worrying will not make anything better. The best thing to do is to focus on God and those things, believe it or not, will resolve themselves--because the Lord will take care of it. God doesn't want you to be miserable all the time. He wants to see you happy and if these things are constantly bringing you down then maybe that's not what you are supposed to be focusing on. They are valuable and important to you (and I am in no way trying to say that they aren't) but God wants you to turn to Him--don't think so much about the circumstances. No matter what happens--remember the Lord still loves you and if for some reason He were to say no about anything, like the boyfriend situation--don't give up hope. Ask Him to bring you the one you ARE supposed to be with and if that's the ex then it'll be--but if not, the Lord has someone who won't make you cry, who will be the man that the Lord wants him to be for you. Let the Lord be your matchmaker and focus on Him to bring about joy--because I know how exhausting it is to hold out for someone.
I held out to be with a certain man for about half a year or so...probably closer to eight months. But, I realized that I was never going to be with him. He had no goals in his life, he wasn't saved (which is a HUGE reason why I should and cannot be with him--he still isn't unfortunately), and he found someone else. Believe me, that was painful and hard to watch--especially because the girl does not treat him the way he ought to be. But, I was far to focused on him--I still struggle with that at times. However, I let that go and I have felt better...I'm not crying every day and I don't worry constantly about him coming back to me. I'm far from "over" him, but I realize that God has someone way better for me in store and I did gain a friend if nothing else. The Lord still allows me to witness to him and I still go and have fun with him as my friend. So, I was blessed.
So please, Mel, if something were to happen this weekend to show you that somehow this may not be the Lord's will, please don't give up hope. The Lord made you into a wonderful young lady and He wouldn't have you to be alone...that's obvious. Don't waste your whole life on someone who is not supposed to be with you, if that is the case--find the one the Lord has for you and rejoice in His blessing.
I hope that you haven't been offended. I am not trying to attack you in any way and I just want to give you advice, because I know what it's like to be rejected and to go through the pain of having to let go. However, the choice is ultimately up to you--if you feel the Lord would have you to be with your ex, trust Him to do it--but more importantly, I think you should trust the Lord that He is sovern and that He will bring the right man into your life no matter who that is. Trust Him in THAT.
May the Lord bless you and have a wonderful, safe Thanksgiving.
Lost Love
