Father...please help Heather understand that this is not her fault...that when a man chooses to leave, there is little that can be done about it but pray. And how we pray makes a huge difference. God cannot reach us when we allow our emotions to rage and are in a totally distraught condition. I pray Father that you would lead this woman to counseling that she might regain her strength and be able to re-focus on her own needs and those of her daughters. Comfort her and help her to heal Father. Show her that you are with her...and Father more than anything help her to stop blaming herself for the poor choices that this husband made. They were his decisions...that show immaturity and shallowness in walking away from his children and wife...let Heather perceive it as the selfish act that it is! Father touch Josh...humble him down to the point that he comes to know that he needs a savior. Let him call out to the Lord Jesus to enter his heart that he might come to learn who he is in Christ and who he is to be as the spiritual head of his home. Father bring peace to this situation that Heather might be able to focus...and when she is ready...teach her how to pray for this man...not for him to come home now...as he is not ready and cannot do what it is that she needs from him...but to fall in love with Jesus...to see how his actions grieve God...to break his heart of stone over the abandoning of vows that were given, not just to this woman but to the Creator of the universe! Father lead, guide, comfort and heal...In Jesus name...Amen!
