Lord we ask that you heal Mike's mind and heart. Whatever memories and experiences that are still hurting inside of him, we ask that you will take them away - either by miracle, Lord, or by someone coming into his life that does your work in helping him through this and showing him there is another way. He is still very young, Father, and has his whole life ahead of him to get to know you and create a new path for himself. Please help him to do that, Lord. We ask that you will be the "Hound of Heaven" (C.S. Lewis' term) for Mike, follow him, hound him until he can do naught but fall on his knees before you, give up his anger and hatred and bitterness and fear and trepidation and lost hope, turn it all over to you. He is young, Lord. Please heal him so that his experiences don't ruin the rest of his life. We ask you to bless both him, his adoptive brother, and his adoptive parents. Thank you that you've given him the opportunity for a new start, a new life. Please make him desire with all his heart to grasp that opportunity and appreciate it and live for it.
