RE: Spiritual Battle...

Sorry, but I believe this is a prayer requests board not a free psychotherapy website.

RE: Spiritual Battle...

Adoring1, I forgive you.

But this is to have me decide one thing for now: I am not going to post any more requests/posts/threads for a good period of time. Simply because of this. If I open my heart out to my life and opinions, I leave it vulnerable for all to see... and yet get scolded for it. I do forgive you guys if your hearts are convicted like adoring1's, but the pain still resides as I never thought even Christians would give out this much verbal abuse... and I've been through verbal abuse for a long time, even now, clearly... Elementary school, Middle school, high school, college, my job, and even here on the internet; it never goes away. And to think once I actually can be myself for once... and this is why I'm more of a reserved person... I never liked speaking out my heart on things... and this shows why I was clearly scared to even post prayers on here in the first place because as you can clearly see, most of you would think they're selfish or wrong. This clearly happens to me every day... And now I will reserve myself to posting anything else anymore. THIS isn't a selfish decision... because I am still going to pray for you guys, but more in secret instead of posting it out. This isn't a selfish decision because I am going through this daily... verbal abuse to no end, even other people's friends who do not even know me post cruel things about me without even knowing me in real life... it's painful. Even I forgive, the pain still will not fade until I have made a decision similar to this... And I believe this is best for me for the moment. This why I have low self-esteem... and this is why I rather be a reserved person than an outgoing, speaking out type of one... because this seems to follow me around to no end... no matter how many times I pray for it... the abuse from the mouth (or hands in this case) always seem to come down on me daily... and I'm tired of it. 13 years of this... from a small girl, getting teased and picked, to a young woman getting bashed about praying on or speaking on what she believes is right... every time I do this, I get bashed. Guess that's part of my life I'll never get away from.

But yes, I've decided to not post for a good while, maybe forever, who knows... but let this be a lesson to all of you: verbal abuse is one of some things that can even lead to death... you heard of stories of young men and women like me who get verbally abused like this (and it's mostly daily like me) to the point where they commit suicide. Now I never thought of suicide... but this is just one of those things that remind me why I should be more of a reserved person... and maybe it's best for me if I become one again. Be careful of what you say, even if it is your opinion or your heart-felt words... they can lead to emotional pain that might never go away. Thank you, and God Bless.

RE: Spiritual Battle...

Dear Heavenly Father heal that pain from this young woman, and use her to help others that have gone through the same abuse as her. She can be a good instrument in your hands for compassion to others that have also been where she has. Give her comfort, strength, selfesteme, and wisdom as she continues to look toward you for her help and support, the only one who doesn't fail us nor puts us down. Lord have your perfect will be done in her life, state of mind, and her situation. In Jesus Christ Precious Name I pray, as I thank you in advance Heavenly Father to whom all the Honor, the Glory, and the Power belongs, Amen! Warrior
Mathew 18:19 - 20
"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.

RE: Spiritual Battle...

Amen and Praise the Lord. God's word says in Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. His word also says in Colossians 2:14-16 ...He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. Lord, I pray that as you triumphed over all things on the cross, have disarmed principalities and powers that you also magnify Yourself in all these situations. I pray that you help Mel_S come to know she is not alone in this battle, but instead You will fight the battle for her and come to know Your more. Please answer her prayers, Lord, and help her find the answers of those she is seeking in You. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

RE: Spiritual Battle...

Mel,

I just felt the need to say this--don't give up on the people who are on here. Sometimes there are people who will attack you--that is something we should expect as Christians. The bible says that we will receive persecution, because Jesus was persecuted--and really that's who people persecute. I understand that it hurts when people say negative things of you--in my own situation I have endured that. However, by reading your story, I was able to see myself in a new way in my own situation and I hope that I was a help to you to. Just remember that for all the negative attacks there are, there's at least one person that may help you/you help.

If you decide not to post any way, I can understand. It's no fun to hear what some people have to say, especially if they are beligerant--but for the most part, I think you can agree that there were people who came to you in love--even though the things they said were hard to hear, they were things you needed to hear, like following the Lord's will.

Please do not take this as an attack. I'm not hear to judge you. I'm just coming as a fellow Christian, trying to offer some loving advice.

By the way, in my own situation--I don't know if you remember talking to me or not--the Lord has been working and my friend has been doing some investigative work. I had a signature on my phone that referred to Phillipians 3:9 and he brought up last night that he had been reading ch 3--but he didn't understand it. He isn't saved yet, but I know the Lord is working.

I wanted to thank you, because you prayed for me and because your story was an encouragement, that what I was going through, I was not doing alone. Just have faith in the Lord--not the people who come to you, whether good or bad, or the people in your situation. Have faith in the Lord and He will bring you through this storm. And, in spite of what others may or may not think, continue to follow Him--even if it feels like nothing is getting done. If you have faith in Him, the Lord can open the door for you to be a witness to your ex. I didn't think the Lord was going to open the door the way He did, over a text message, but I got a glimpse of what the Lord plans for me. He'll give you that glimpse too, if you just trust Him.

I guess the point I'm attempting to make (I'm not sure if it's coming across or not) is that the Lord can use someone to touch you and don't let negative people, who are nasty and unappologetic, get you down. There is obviously at least two people who care about you--even though we don't actually know you--adoring1 being one of them. The Lord cares for you, so cast your cares upon Him and don't give up.Jesus-cross
