RE: Spiritual Battle...

Lord show Mel-s that she is taking the time of prayer warriors here away from those that really need prayers.
As long as she continues to be a stubborn, un respectful, selfish person her prayers or any other prayers being said for her are not going pass the roof. May she repent and become a real Christina not one just by name only, for a real Christian will not act as she does nor will want to be in a none Christian relationship, and will honor their father. Show her your way Lord and may she turn her eyes only on you. May she realize the day she comes to this board to pray for others instead of using our time with her life's novel and look at what others are going through then she may start to change her tune and be more thankful to you. I pray in Jesus name. Amen

RE: Spiritual Battle...

this comment I am replying to (see below is RUDE).
you people continue to put Mel down but you don't see your own foolishness.
She is only 19.
She needs to be careful talking At God.. yes.
But to call her selfish, that she doesn't need prayers others do,
etc. HOW RUDE.
Mel, if you need to find another prayer site, this one is not well run at times, obviously.
Mature Christians are Not rude, they are patient & kind.

The Guest above is correct in all aspects. Have you guys realized that what you're doing is far more worse than what YOU have judged me as? To call me selfish, stubborn, disrespectful, etc... you guys are just as disrespectful if not worse. If it weren't for God, I sure would not be here today if you clearly knew my story. That I don't need prayers and others do? Now that is more cruel to say than being selfish. And mature or "Maturing" Christians are not to say things like this. If I were to say that your husband is leaving you and you are praying for the restoration of your marriage, would I just rat you out and say you don't deserve it because it's selfish to pray for that? NO! The people who are judging me and calling me out is just as rude and disrespectful, probably even more. I might choose another site if the judging continues on. I choose to stay here only because I have a couple members messaging me, and we're having decent conversations and praying for each other. One is in the exact same situation as I am. Another is messaging me for encouragement purposes because she can clearly see what you guys have been saying to me. She even suggested I might even take this thread down since she and I continue to see this bickering and scolding towards me. You guys may be far more older than I am, and yet you are scolding a 19 year old... The only people that can scold me are God and my parents. My parents would say to ignore people who call you out wrongly. Even if they are Christians (which you guys are not acting as right now with these comments), if they judge or scold you for something you either didn't mean to do or just to follow suit, it's not acceptable in my terms.

If I continue to see this continuous scolding/judging, it's just to see how "maturing" of a Christian you guys have become, especially scolding a 19 year old girl. If I were your daughter, and I were to say things like what you guys are saying, would you not tell me it's wrong to do so AS A CHRISTIAN? You guys are starting to say I'm only professing as one... when you can see with your comments, you guys need to see that a true Christian never scolds another person in Christ. So I have said something that I maybe shouldn't have, I've ask for forgiveness and I believe I have been forgiven. Maybe you guys should ask for forgiveness yourselves for scolding a girl you never even met, a girl young enough to even be your daughter, that you clearly do not know what kind of struggle I have across growing up, even from birth which would have been 90% IMPOSSIBLE. I wouldn't even exist today, and neither would my mother, if it weren't for God. I forgive all of you, and Guest (who I have quoted), thank you so much for not only speaking from encouragement, but common sense. I will remain content for now until this goes too far (and to me it already has been). God Bless all of you and I hope you guys even come to your own senses as Christians.

Don't lose hope. I don't know if my ex is saved and I pray his salvation as well. It will be ok, just don't lose one of your precious gifts... faith.

RE: Spiritual Battle...

Mel, I had said I would not post again on your thread but in reading the message I saw from the first guest yesterday my heart was convicted and so I must. The intent of my comments to you remain the same...to respect God, to revere him, to accept His will and to love enough to put personal desires aside when praying for another's salvation...however... the way I said it was harsh and I could have said it differently. I wounded you when I wanted to admonish for good and for that I am truly sorry. I have asked God for His forgiveness and now I ask yours. As I hope you see from this experience...any Saint can error...even old ones. :-) I wish you only good things especially love and joy. May God bless you richly as you grow in Him. Whoever you are Guest...thank you for your posting...it has contributed to my on going growth...and I am really appreciative of it. In Jesus name...Amen!

RE: Spiritual Battle...

Amen

I believe it is good to remind each other, as the bible states, of The Word. Adoring 1, I agree, that it is dangerous to get angry with God, or try to turn our will into HIS WILL, which may not be so at all.
That is difficult. Part of wisdom & the older one is, also with life experience, this is easier to understand. This is where you & other's wisdom is helpful, & in alignment with The Word of God.
However, I do see that the 19 years, makes a difference, & where patience & kindness are necessary.
I am with you that when I hear someone very angry with God, more than asking Him why, it can be cause for alarm & naturally smacks at the ears of Christians, because it is about HIM. It is all about HIM, you are correct.
Where it didn't hit me right is that I do believe Mel does have unique qualities, & as a Christian, she is matured in her own ways, & as Christians no matter our age we have much to contribute. I see Mel as a very humble person, perhaps a bit stubborn in her desires, but this is part of the maturing & in Christ of which the wisdom of elders can help her.
I think it's easy to point fingers at times, but as our maturING in Christ teaches us, this also can be dangerous. God Wrote The Book of Life, so it all plays out to HIS WILL. It's His Timing how it all unfolds.
We all do matter as Christians, very important I believe to speak up when something doesn't sit right on our spirit, which you did Adoring1 (we are not to be lukewarm), but as maturING Christians, we all must keep ourselves humble acknowledging with God's Love each other & that we do all matter! Our gifts are important in HIM.
We are maturING Christians, noone is perfect & learning to ask for forgiveness as well as forgiving are ongoing. As you say, it's all about HIM!
Turned out to be great thread in my opinion. Nothing lukewarm about it! Smile It's good to speak up in truth, with love, helping each other in our Christian walk.
