RE: Spiritual Battle...

adoring1 Wrote:Mel...enough! The first paragraph of your post approaches blasphemy in how you are speaking of our God. I for one love him and find the tone that you take with him and about him very offensive. If you do not want to follow His will don't. But don't profess to be a Christian any more either because that is one of the requirements. I asked you once before to please be respectful of our Father...but clearly you do not see that to be important. Only getting what you want is... and the truth be known...God will not save this man for you to marry him. It is not about you! Everything is not about you! There are people posting prayers on this board that are dying...or dealing with dying...or losing their entire lives, there are a lot of people suffering and like you waiting and many have been waiting for years! What makes you think that you are any different? You go on and on about some man who has told you point blank he doesn't want you, won't want you and you act as though this is the end of the world. Well it isn't and frankly you need to grow up! I f this man chooses to become saved he will...but if he doesn't your hissy fits and disrespect to God and therefore other Christians won't change it.

God did not make your boyfriend an unbeliever...neither did Satan. Your boyfriend made his own choice. God did not make you fall in love with an unbeliever...you did that on your own knowing full well that God forbid you to date one. You are now angry because you did not follow his instructions. God does not owe you anything, you owe him everything...and if your prayers don't line up with his will he won't answer them...if you don't like it...that is just too bad. He is God... not you and he gets to make the judgment call. If you don't like that oh well! If you see the way you are behaving as delighting in God then you need to get some serious help! And until you learn how to do so and revere him...you will not get the answers you are looking for. Your temper tantrums are very unappealing Mel and they don't change anything. Only poorly behaved children act like this when they don't get what they want...and wise parents know when they need the rod applied to their backsides. Keep it up Mel...and God will apply it to yours!

Jesus...keep me near the cross and keep this kind of impurity far from my soul!

Adoring1... even your words came off as offensive, even un-Christian-like to my nature... telling someone they need serious help... and to not profess myself as a Christian anymore because of what I've said... Do you know how many believers even thought of the same things I've said when they recently became saved or have been saved in the longest time...? You are/were also no different... And saying my words are via impurity... saying how "proud" you were of me and staying strong one minute then saying "frankly you need to grow up!" and the like the next... clearly I have NOT had a good day today. My aunt's house just got broken in, property damaged. I had to do a LOT of work by myself at work today as well and I am exhausted. I too have not been feeling good as of late... I'm worrying about my dad... and my mom... our finances are NOT up to peak... and now to hear these words from you of all people here on this site... truly hurtful... And you thinking my sacrifice to saving another is WRONG? Today is 9/11, I'm sure people have sacrifice THEIR well-beings to save others... others could have came to Christ on this day too. If you thought my words were offensive... read back yours... out of rage and anger that should not have been in you... that's not like you at all... So I had to clear things out of my head... out of due respect to you and to Christ himself... I know that you don't think there are other people, even saved, have said these things themselves... you cannot say that you haven't... And I'M praying for HIS salvation and THAT'S not lining up to His will? Last time I checked it WAS! And calling me a 'poor behaved child'... if you had the memory when you were say 4-5 and not know what right from wrong was at the time, it is just the same. You cannot say that you weren't like this before... we ALL have. We just can't be BORN saved. I was saved at 17... while people are just now getting saved at 40-50 years old! And in a threatening statement saying "Keep it up... and God will apply it (the rod) to yours (my backside)!" If God didn't the first time, I wouldn't have been saved today now wouldn't I? Think about what you have said to me... and how hurtful and rage-like your comment had become... I will say no more.

RE: Spiritual Battle...

Mel...I really have no more time for this. My issue is and remains your disrespect to the Father. I will not tolerate that from anyone...and frankly your opinion of me means less to me than the way you speak about him...FAR LESS. You will find this kind of anger in the Word...Jesus experienced it in the temple when the money changers were INSULTING of His Father...it is called righteous anger. And I meant what I said...if this is your impression of delighting in God...then so be it...you need serious help in understanding what that means because you do not. There is no excuse for being insulting to the Father not length of time of being saved...not having a bad day...He is the Creator...and each time you get angry you do THIS. And no...I am not aware of EVER having done this in my entire time of being with God. I have complained and gotten upset with people...but most people do not speak as you about him. I have NEVER seen that before! I have had quite enough of that...while there are parts of you I have pride in, this one is totally unacceptable. None of my comments had anything to do with your asking to lose your protection from God...that is utter nonsense but I will not get into why that is not possible Theologically. I just cannot and will not handle your disrespect of God...I am done with it.

RE: Spiritual Battle...

Do you know that "insulting" Him isn't known as blasphemy...? You may not forgive me for saying that, but do you know God does forgive... except blasphemy. And since you said insulting... which may be as so, I really do not know... it's not considered as blasphemy... if I were to become like the Pharisees and shout blasphemy, THEN you can shun me all you want... I believed there are scriptures for this:

The Holy Spirit can be RESISTED.
Acts 7:51 Ye stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

The Holy Spirit can be QUENCHED.
1Th 5:19 Quench not the Spirit.

The Holy Spirit can be GREIVED.
Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
What kind of things grieves the Holy Spirit? Read the next verse…
Vs. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

The Holy Spirit can be QUIETED.
Zech 6:8 Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.
How can one “quiet” the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is a gentleman. He will never force Himself upon you. If you continually resist Him, or “say” that you don’t want to hear what He has to say… He will back off and be quiet where you are concerned.

The Holy Spirit can be INSULTED.
Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite (Greek: to insult) the Spirit of grace?

Guess what? None of these are considered in the category as blasphemy. You do really know what blasphemy IS?
Well it’s really pretty simple. “Blasphemy” is something slanderous and/or injurious to one’s good name. And the Greek word for “against” can mean “according to the case against” or “to the charge of” which is legal language. So what I believe this is saying is that “speaking blasphemy against” the Holy Spirit is like when someone one knowingly and deliberately as a legal witness attributes the works, operations and/or gifts of the Holy Spirit to the Devil or attributes the works, operations of the Devil to the Holy Spirit.

The Pharisees did this when Jesus was casting out demons by the power of the Holy Spirit. They proclaimed: “He cast out demon spirits by the power of Beelzebub!”

So if you hold what I said which you call insulting against me, then you are just as wrong. I have not called blasphemy against Him, nor I don't even think I have insulted him just for speaking my mind! If you show no forgiveness for this... then so be it. Maybe we shouldn't talk anymore about this. I will fight this battle aligned with God and me myself and I.

Mel...one of the scriptures above is explaining how you earn hell...how you lose your salvation. Do you know which one it is?

RE: Spiritual Battle...

You know what Mel...you do not understand half of what you read...and before you tell those that do...what they know or don't know you need to spend more time learning what things mean. Blasphemy-means an impious utterance about God or sacred things. To suggest as you did in the first paragragh that it is always about His way...His will to please Him...like it should not be so IS BLASPHEMY. We were created for only one purpose to worship God...period. That is why he made us. I am not going to argue about this or anything else with you. You are very rebellious kiddo and since you know all the answers there is no reason to do so...you want to go on thinking what you think even if it is in error. There are others who want to learn. I have a class to prepare for...I am done!

RE: Spiritual Battle...

Blasphemy has nothing to do with the loss of salvation Mel..Blasphemy means an impious utterance (statement) against God or that which is sacred. Impious means disrespectful. and so as I stated before what I said was you had been disrespectful (blasphemed against) of the Father...by making statements like "His way, His will" ...when they are "my desires." Since we were created to worship and praise God...it is only about His Will in a true Christians life. This is an insult to the Father.

The Bible teaches under the second dispensation that the only way that salvation can be lost is to Abominate against the Holy Spirit. This means to bring shame to the Holy Spirit by disavowing His existence...which a true Christian cannot do. However one who professes Christianity and then decides he no longer believes in Jesus...and there are many that do...for example those who become become converted to Islam and therefore deny Christ's divinity after having been Christians, or those who convert to Judaism after having been Christians and therefore disavow Jesus as Messiah bring shame to the Holy Spirit and therefore lose salvation. Since clearly you do not understand the difference between blasphemy and abomination I will ignore the huge insult of your suggesting that I am professing heretical concepts. But I would suggest in the future you know what you are talking about...this can have you dismissed from the majority of denominations in the Faith and is the worst insult one can give to a fellow Christian...the second is that one does not have enough Faith.

Which brings me to my last comments to you Mel...many things that you say are not grounded in the Word...for example all that dribble about Satan dying. Satan cannot die...he is a spirit...which is why hell was created to contain him after the last judgment. Hell was not created for the souls of people but for the Legion of demonic spirits...however those who remain outside of God and follow the enemy will be consigned there. These types of things speak to your immaturity in the Word and in Christ...and yet you continually try to argue things without the Biblical Foundation. Some of the people you have argued with on this site have been studying God's word longer than I...and I have been a Christian for 50 years and have devoted 40 years to serious study of the word with the last 30 years having developed expertise in the Prophetic books of Daniel and Revelation and the Apocalyptic passages in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke. What I am trying to say is that it would be to your direct benefit to study more...and to pontificate less until you truly understand what you are reading and understand the extrapolation of one passage to another...and never, ever suggest that a person is a heretic unless you can prove it. It is a serious charge and in those denominations that have an organizational structure could cause hearings and dismissal from the Faith.

RE: Spiritual Battle...

I am now going to say this in the most rational way possible, rational enough for you to understand this:

I will not talk about this anymore. Adoring1, I will leave you with this and no more comments out of either of us until we see what's fit. No arguing will change each others' opinions or heart-felt comments. Your words are harsh. And if people were to read our comments, they could agree that you are too harsh in what you are saying to me. Let me remind you that I am 19 years old. I still have a whole life ahead of me. There are some things I already know and there are things I know more well than others, younger or even older, experiences aside. And there are things I can still learn. You're right I do have a whole lot to learn... but I learn pretty quickly as what many people have told me.

I will keep believing in what I am praying for. You can pray in agreement or leave me at peace in knowing God will answer my prayers in time. What you say God might not do now he will do in the near future. No amount in your times of studying religion will ever predict what He can or can't do. And with all due respect, if you think your studies is what's backing you up in your opinion of what God can or can't do in the future, you are incorrect. No amount of studying, teaching, or knowledgeable thinking or reasoning cannot predict God's blessings, His will, or His mind! God can even change his own answer. He is all-powerful. He is omnipotent and can do whatever He wishes! If He could change his own mind (the story of Hezekiah refers to that, saying he will die one answer, then extends his life to 15 more years the next) He can. His plan cannot be changed, but His answers can change to bring His plan out in full bloom.

All I can say is that I will keep my words where I did not insult Him in any way (and I'm sure I did not because even God knows I didn't mean those words. And if I DID, I wouldn't be as concerned as I am right now)! I will believe in what I am praying for. You can agree what I am saying or not. If you do, then that's fine. If you don't, again that's fine, because my prayers are my heart's desires. And God promised us our heart's desires if we delight in Him. We all delight in God in different ways. No amount of studying will ever change the blessings of the Lord. If we all delighted in Him the same exact way, this world would also become indifferent. And the world changes each and every day. He created us all to be different. Therefore wouldn't it be rational to know that we also can worship Him differently as well?

I cannot say anymore... I will go by what I have been praying in the beginning... what you call unacceptable could be the same mindset that even other Christians have said to themselves before surrendering or during their surrender. You cannot say you were not this way before either... but I digress... I also study psychology as a hobby and will take a psychology class in the near future at my college (it's a requirement to graduate). Even as a Christian... you cannot say you were a believer from the get-go from the womb to now... You studied, having developed expertise in the Prophetic books of Daniel and Revelation and the Apocalyptic passages in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke. YET... did that get you to be saved? How exactly were you saved? You've been a Christian for 50 years... but the other 10-20-or however more years that weren't added onto the 50, you were NOT. You may not have understood Christ or his works like I did. You may never even knew he existed like others may have... Maybe you were too young to really understand who He was... I do see 6-13 years old in church programs or Sunday school... but do you think they accepted Him as their Lord and savior and surrendered their lives to Him? Or are they too young to actually know what surrendering may be...? That can only be answered by God Himself. They can be, or might not be. Again... no amount of studying or how long you have been a Christian can dictate on what God has for MY life... I might die tonight or tomorrow if that was in HIS plan... but God saved me from what could have been an impossible birth. That means that my life was spared for a reason to believe that I can live for a very long time. Who knows, only Him.

ONLY GOD KNOWS WHAT IS IN STORE FOR ME, MY EXBOYFRIEND, MY MOM, MY DAD, AND EVERYONE IN THIS WORLD INCLUDING YOU NO MATTER HOW OLD YOU ARE. No amount of studying or how long you hsve been saved can even muster to what God can do. You don't even know if me or my exboyfriend can be saved again, together and even married by this time next year. If God can do that, surely He can. I believe in what I am praying for, whether you think God can do it or can't.

All of these things I am saying out of due respect to you. You are a great woman... but maybe you should, as a Christian, work on how you express your opinions to people in a more... civil way, especially what you have said to me and the way you have said it. And since you said you meant what you said, and those words have hurt me more than you can imagine, I forgive you for those harsh words. One more thing, and I will say this one last time... no amount of studying or how long of a Christian you have been or your opinions will ever answer my prayers... you may express your opinions to what the answers already are... but they are not the answers that God could have already. God bless you... and may neither of us talk about this again.

RE: Spiritual Battle...

Every Christian continues in their growth, as a Christian.
Noone has it all figured out. Only God.
Mel, I see many 19 y.o. comments, as to your desires & that you do need to learn to let go of your desires, the growing up as Adoring 1 is saying. I also see in the comments she speaks of that it is good to be very cautious when being angry with God. We are here to serve & please HIM. It is about HIM.
However, you are 19.
You are right, there are things you see & understand that others may not. To minimize or negate this is to say you do not matter & this is not so & why the comments hurt you so badly that Adoring 1 made.
Every Christian is shown things that are unique to them. This is what sets us apart. It is however, as Adoring 1 says, about HIM.
I will pray for you. In ways you are very mature for your age, & as you say, also you are very much 19 in your thought processes.
You are maturing. As Christians we are never matured, we are maturing. That is something you are very aware of, & this sets you apart & shows your maturity as a Christian. You are right, no amount of study will give someone all the answers. It is our own personal relationship with CHRIST that matters, & our marturING in Christ.
I pray that you will learn to let go when things are not working out, this is part of growing up, as human beings, this is where I think you are stuck & has to do some with your age. But I also pray that your fire for Christ continues, that noone ever shuts you down to where you want to give up on God.
If you can take people's advice to you, the part where it is their age & wisdom that is speaking, yet keep your God peace that is unique to you, then walk with it. Mel, in some ways you are wise in Christ & in some ways you are growing, as a 19 y.o. & maturing.
We all are maturING in Christ & you are right, noone has all the answers. Only God.
Bless Warrior Heart

RE: Spiritual Battle...

Letting go of your desires, when I say this, the maturing as a Christian is allowing your desires to align with God's Desires For us.
This is part of maturing, the place where I believe you are stuck & some of this is the 19 y.o. part.
Yes, God Gives us the desires of our heart, but they have to align with HIS WILL.
In ways you are wise & in some ways you are maturing..we are all maturing in Christ. You have that correct!!!
