RE: Spiritual Battle...

Mel...I am not saying not to hope for reconciliation, but I am saying that for you to want that to happen, you have to be willing to understand...that God will not want that to happen UNTIL he is saved...as it goes against one of his commands to us and God cannot go against his own word! Satan could move this man to come back into your life today in his unsaved condition...but if you accepted him in that state...you do so at your own risk and peril. Until he is saved...he is not a candidate for a relationship with ANY Christian...that is all I am saying. What you do with that information is your choice of course...but do not for a moment believe that a relationship with an unsaved person is in the will of God or will be blessed of God...as it is not...and he warns us against it.

I am aware of that, which is why I am praying for his salvation too... not only because of the reconciliation prayer, but because... I just don't want him to go to Hell either... He's a smart, brave, and good person. A good friend indeed... I don't want him to suffer in Hell... He's already suffering enough here... Cry I would give anything for his salvation, as well as my other friends who are either aren't saved or are saved but living in sinful conditions (bi-sexual, lesbian, homosexuals, etc. I do have friends of that nature as well). My exboyfriend is a very special person to me. And I would definitely want him saved... and for our relationship to be reconciled once he is. Heart Our friendship, thanks to the break-up, is already shaky as is... and I don't want to lose the friendship, which won't be lost thankfully, let alone the chances of the relationship happening again. He is a special person to me. And I do not want this lost sheep and lost son of Christ remain lost... for this daughter of Christ (myself) wants to be with this son He created... and I do want him to be blessed and hear His voice... and for him to hear mine, with love, once more. Cry

Dear Lord, you said that if we had a small amount of faith we can move mountains... You never said that we needed a good enough reason to move this mountain - just that we need a tiny amount of faith. Lord I believe that if moving this mountain is important to us, then this alone is a good enough reason. Lord I pray that this woman would continue to be earnest in her faith, and I ask that you would pour your Spirit on her in good measure, in Jesus' name

RE: Spiritual Battle...

Lord, please continue to be with me in this spiritual battle that I am in. Please see to it that these desires shall be fulfilled in Your name. Please continue to strengthen my faith and to stay strong in my prayers and petitions to You, my God Almighty. Thank You for not having me to give up in this; when there are days when I did want to give up, the faith seeps back in me, so I do know that You do not want me to waver in unbelief and give up on these things that, by faith, will happen soon enough. I believe and receive all of these things in high expectation, in Jesus name. Amen.

RE: Spiritual Battle...

Lord, please help me with this battle... Today either though my faith remains subtle, I still struggle with doubtful thoughts in my head... like what if none of these come to pass... what if the salvation does not happen...? What if the reconciliation does not happen, even when he's saved...? What if I'm fighting for nothing? ...Get thee behind me, Satan. You're just trying your best do get me to doubt God and his miracles, aren't you??? I may waver, but I will not fall. God I do believe and receive all of these miracles! You definitely showed my mother countless times that dreams do come true! I am a living example of that! Please God... help me overcome my unbelief and doubt. You know... the more the devil tries to make me doubt about this fight, ESPECIALLY when it comes to the salvation and reconciliation... the more I know and believe it's going to happen, because that is one of the main desires and prayers the devil is trying to attack me on! I realize that as of now from a distance... Lord, send angels to my exboyfriend... constantly lend him Your voice every waking minute of the day... Anything to have him come to You... I know he can... and I know he will... He's a lost soul, and I know that soul is meant to be found... Nonetheless, he had me, a Godly woman in his life... that I do know he can and will come to You and also reconcile with me, blessed by You, Lord... You know I love him... and you know I want him saved... and I still receive reconciliation, whenever that will be. Continue to give my mother the strength to stop smoking... she knows its hard on her... harder on her than it is on me. Continue to give my father the strength and take away any fear and anxiety from him and his healing... I know he's scared Lord for anything to happen to him and to leave us here without him... He's 65, a young age still in my heart... He still can go strong... all he needs is You. And I need You more than ever...

This is all I want right now... the other stuff can wait for all I know... Yes I still want to gain 125, and it's still a difficult process (I still haven't gain a pound... metabolism is too fast I think...); but all I want is my family back together... My mother smoke-free, my father healed, my ex-boyfriend saved and our relationship reconciled... Lord, I feel that I am praying according to Your will... right? And I still believe in these things to happen... the faith is still there... I just don't want to waver in unbelief and doubt for a single second, otherwise the prayer is canceled and I have to start over again... Help me overcome any unbelief and doubts Lord... All I want is the people I love... happy, healthy and loving... I care more for them than I do myself... they are my everything... They are my heart... Lord, please send me a miracle... a sign... a premonition... an angel... a blessing... or a dream/vision that will help me indeed in spirit... I am with You, God... there is no one else that can help me like You can... I am in a spiritual battle; I chose to be in it, I am fighting for the long run... and I'm not going to end this battle failing. Jesus... please come quickly... turn these situations around soon... These people are everything to me... I thank You for sending me these people... Please Lord... Send them back to me renewed and happily united as one; a family with me. I have high expectations, that I do. Please have me keep these expectations high... strengthen me and my faith... take away all fear and doubt and unbelief and anxiety... I need You... I need and want my family back... my significant other (my exboyfriend) found in You and in my arms again, this time for eternity... It's hard, Lord... each day is and will be harder and harder... Please get me through this... and bring my loved ones together once more... forever and ever... in Jesus name I pray and pray. Amen... and Amen.

Father...convict the heart of this young man that he needs a savior...and let his lips cry out for the Lord Jesus Christ to enter his heart and guide his life. If it pleases you Father...heal Mel's dad...that he might grow old with his wife and see his grandchildren grow to adulthood. Father...release Mel's mother from the addiction of smoking...release all smokers from this addiction through whatever means you feel appropriate and give all of them peace. In Jesus name...Amen!

Adoring1, your prayers mean a lot to me... I was actually crying while typing that post... I think I'm starting to cry again now... this is very hard, you know... I've had a long day of school today, getting up at 5am, not getting much sleep last night... all I kept thinking about all day was this... I know God has led me to this battle, and I know He doesn't want me to give up on either of them... This means more to me than you might think... God Bless you, adoring1.

RE: Spiritual Battle...

Mel,

I feel like you are going through something very similar to what I am dealing with. There is someone that I love as well, but I was rejected for reasons I do not know--however, we remain friends and he's been getting close again. I don't know if he will ever return the love that I give him, but in our time apart the Lord taught me the importance of His presence in any relationship--friendship or otherwise. Something that I have been focusing on is enjoying the friendship that God has blessed me with--I don't know if you remain friends, but I would ask the Lord that you would be content with what you have--that is mentioned several times, especially when we are waiting for a gift, such as love.

Focus on praying for him to be saved, because whether or not you get back together, would you want to see him end up in hell? I realized that when I was praying for my own relationship that I had been selfish--praying for his salvation merely so that I could date him. But, I realized through the months apart from him that I did not want him to go to hell--even if we never got together, I would be eternally grateful to know that he had gotten saved and that one day I would be reconciled as his friend in heaven.

Explore your heart--what are your motives? I'm not suggesting by any means that you are wanting your ex to go to hell, so please do not take this the wrong way. I'm just trying to say that maybe you haven't been praying for the right reasons--ye have not because ye ask not continues with the fact that prayers go unanswered when they are asked in a way that is not accepting of the will of the Lord.

The will of the Lord is for no man to perish--especially your ex, so I pray that you would see that he needs that most of all. Love is not about getting what you want necessarily, but about pushing back your own selfish desires and making sure that his needs are met. Ask the Lord to use you to be a witness to him and to open his heart to the gospel--let it be soft and receptive of his word. The Lord will give you that and that is something you can treasure. Then, focus on your relationship, whatever that may turn out to be.

Please do not take this as a spiritual attack. I'm merely trying to advise you based upon what the Lord has shown me through my own experience.

Dear Lord,

I pray that you would comfort this young woman during her time of need. I, like her, have a lost love, whom I love dearly with all of my heart and this guest proclaims that she has such a love for her ex as well. I pray that in this situation, You would provide direction. Open the door of opportunity for this ex, Lord, to meet You--allow this young lady to be a witness for You and soften his heart to be receptive of his word. Give her the words to speak and shine through her so that all her ex can see is Christ dwelling within. And please, Lord, I pray that he would be convicted and that You would reveal to him his need of a Savior--of Jesus. Put a hedge of protection around him so that the seed sown would not be plucked away carelessly by Satan and allow him to chose his eternal destiny with a clear understanding. I pray that he would be saved and that You would comfort this young woman. Give her direction in her own situation and give her peace. Please Lord, allow her to see what You have for her and if it be Your will after he is saved Lord, allow her to be reconciled to her ex. Allow them both to grow in You each and every day so that Your love would be the bond that brings them together as one unit, serving You.

I ask in Jesus' holy and precious name. Amen.

Like I have told adoring1, I am aware of this... but I still think it is a spiritual attack... remember, this is not just about my ex... it's about my parents as well. Mom's smoking and dad's health problems... And I am not just praying for his salvation just to date him again. I just don't want him to suffer anymore... I don't want him to suffer in hell, as a great friend. Yet I still pray for reconciliation as well, for me and for him as well. I definitely want our bond with His love to bring us together as one, and I believe this will definitely happen. I have to believe and not doubt, of course. I believe this will definitely happen once he gets saved. . . as well as my mom's smoking to stop and for my dad to be healed from health problems...

Some people have similar situations, like you, Guest... but this is a lot deeper than one might think... Trust me on this... It still counts as one in my heart... I'm only 19 years old... and I'm going through a lot more than one might think... And all of this is part of it. It takes a toll on me mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically also... and still I have no progress or sign of anything going forward yet... sometimes I just want to give up, but I can't... and I won't... This is not for myself... this is for the people I care about... My mom... my dad... and the love of my life, my exboyfriend... But all of this will definitely make me happier than I am now... I've been told to appreciate for what I already have and I do... yet I still pray and receive in high expectation for all of these things to happen... I just want my family... my loved ones... united as one, happily and healthy together again...

I believe all of this will happen... God wants me to keep praying for this, otherwise I would have gave up a long time ago... and at times when I almost did, I couldn't for some reason... and I know why. God wants me to not give up on these at all. I'm still going to pray for mom's smoking... dad's healing... and my exboyfriend's salvation along with the restoration of our relationship. I've had other desires... but they are not important right now. I still want them to happen, God already knows... I'm focusing on these three main ones... And I receive them all in Jesus name... whether you may think this isn't or is a spiritual attack... I believe it is... because no one should have to go through this. It's taking more of a toll than anyone could think of... Yet I choose to fight this battle... And I pray God can get me through it... and my family together once again... Thanks for your prayers. Amen.
