Spiritual Battle...

As of yesterday, I pledged to myself and to God that I vowed to fight for these blessings. I know now that I am definitely and currently in a spiritual battle that even I cannot explain here in this post. I know what to say, but cannot find the words to do so. I have been talking to my parents about when it comes to the desires of my heart and the like... my father automatically came to one conclusion... I am in a spiritual battle, fighting for 4 people: him, my mother, my exboyfriend, and myself. I'm fighting for my father in regards to his health. I am fighting for my mother in regards to her smoking. I am fighting for my exboyfriend and myself at the same time in regards to our reconciliation of our relationship and souls alike. My exboyfriend seems like a lost soul that needs to be found again. And my love for him has never died. My father also has told me this, "You are fighting for the one you love, for him to come to you again and for both of you to be blessed by Christ together, so both of you will be together on earth and in heaven alike. You must stay strong for the both of you. Have courage and faith that he will come to you again, for you have asked Christ to draw both of you closer together again and for restoration to come forth. Have faith that your mother will stop smoking and for me to be healed. Stay strong and know that you are fighting for the people you love, not for yourself. You want all of us together as a family and for all of us to enter heaven together, not one left behind. That, Melody, is a battle you are trying to fight." My mother did not understand it at first, but came to an understanding a few minutes later. And I never thought my father would say something like this, for I have not heard him talk about spiritual battles and the like ever before, even since he got saved. This has to be from God, through my father's mouth!

Since yesterday, I have been reading the Bible, opening it without knowing where to read first and it landed in the New Testament, when Jesus was born and started teaching the Word to crowds and His disciples. His healing of people, and his teachings of faith and prosperity really hit me like a ton of bricks. It had to be true: I am fighting for 4 people. I am in a spiritual battle indeed... and the desires of my heart are definitely what I am fighting for, physically and spiritually alike. "For with God, nothing is impossible." Luke 1:37. I am fighting alongside with God... and these desires cannot be impossible with Him, for I have heard through my father's mouth from the Father Himself... (some of you may believe this, some of you don't. That is fine, but I believe it.) ...This is a battle I vowed to God I will not give up on. God is with me through this battle... a battle that may end in Heaven, who knows... or end while I am still living on this Earth.

Please pray for me in regards to this spiritual battle. I cannot explain it any further, for I cannot find the right words to explain it. It's just in my heart that I know I am fighting for more than just the desires; I am fighting for the people that are involved in them; that includes myself too. Pray that I do not give up on this battle; nor weaken my faith or waver in unbelief. I know and believe God was speaking to me through my father that day. And as of yesterday, I am in a battle that will end in blessings and my desires fulfilled through Christ. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

RE: Spiritual Battle...

Father, please assure Mel that if her parents and her ex-boyfriend are saved...that they will not be left behind and kept from heaven. Show her in your word, as it is clearly there. that only a lack of salvation or knowingly being in sin without repentance...or abomination against the holy spirit can keep one from heaven. Smoking cannot, a heart problem cannot, a ex choosing not to be with her or anyone else for that matter cannot. If any of these do not know you Father...I ask that you stir their hearts and let them ask that Jesus enter their hearts to lead and guide their lives.

Father if there be demonic influence involved in any of these various matters I come against them with the authority of the Father and in the name of the Son...pleading the blood over each of their souls including Mel's and claiming these souls as holy ground where dark spirits are not welcome. You must leave as commanded by Jesus the Son of God...to allow clarity and the truth of God to prevail...In Jesus name...Amen!

Apparently I was not explaining myself clearly as I should have. . .

I already know about being saved so we do not get left behind for heaven, I know that already...

Like I said I cannot explain it as thorough as I should. There is no "demonic influences" about these desires nor in the people I care for. Otherwise, they wouldn't be in me, correct? How could you think my parents who are saved have demonic influences in them? How could you think I welcome demonic influences when I am also saved? As I thought... it was to be unbelieved and thought wrong thanks to my lack of explanation. . .

As I expected you, among many you might be posting soon about this..., have thought wrong in this perspective of mine. I've expected many to think incorrectly of this post, for I did not explain myself as clear as I should. Apparently this was something I shouldn't have posted. I should have kept it to myself and God alone since this was a personal spiritual battle... However, i digress. It was to be expected.

RE: Spiritual Battle...

Mel...I do not think that your parent's have demonic influences around them as people...You said that you are in a Spiritual battle...that can only mean a battle of God vs. the enemy. What I am stating in my prayer is if there are any demonic influences the are involved in keeping your mom smoking...in keeping your Father from being healed...in medical diagnosis for example...in keeping your ex from hearing God's voice...that those demons be required to flee...I was actually in agreement with your prayer...with the exception of the potential for the loss of heaven...

Ah I see. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I just woke up from a nap you see (being almost 4:00 in the afternoon >.<) and didn't read it so clearly. But I see you did understand my post after all. I actually thought I had to explain myself clearer about this, but apparently you knew of it from the start. Thanks a lot adoring1. And yes, any demonic influences that are stopping the blessings from flowing, yes they do need to leave immediately. But please adoring1, this will be a hard hard battle I am in for. I will keep you updated about this ok?

RE: Spiritual Battle...

I am glad that you understand what I meant...and yes I will be happy to be updated and pray for your concerns. The only person I was concerned about really was your ex...you have never said whether he was saved or not as far as I know...and so I thought I would do a blanket prayer for salvation as that is the MOST important thing for us all!

Truth be told, he isn't. He is agnostic. Even though he isn't saved, I still love him and pray for us to be together again... and I believe through his salvation we can indeed be a couple again and for our relationship to be blessed by Christ. I still hold on to this prayer to this day. That is what I meant by fighting for my exboyfriend and myself at the same time... And that is one of my deepest prayers of all... his salvation and our reconciliation together.

Mel... if I may suggest...pray for his salvation first and foremost...without it there is little hope of reconciliation...and even if there was to be one ...we are not to be unequally yoked...as an unsaved person will not follow the commands of God and can do ANYTHING...

I am praying for his salvation. I don't want this lost sheep to remain lost forever... And I am still praying for our reconciliation as well. There is still hope in reconciliation, this I am sure. And I pray that on his salvation will our reconciliation be blessed by Christ. Like I said, this is a battle that is hard... but well worth fighting for. He may be unsaved, but does have a great heart. True he does have some demons in him (PTSD from the war in Afghanistan, him being a Marine; worry, anxiety, depression... etc.) but I pray those go away and to enter love, trust, and happiness. I still love him indeed. I still long for us to be together again. And I still want him to be saved. I truly believe once he gets saved (and I know he will soon enough), we will be reconciled again as a couple forever more. I rather not put "if" in any of this, because the word "if" has hints of doubt and may bring doubt into this prayer... and once I doubt, the prayer is cancelled. God does not answer with doubt, therefore the word "if" isn't in my vocabulary in this. I pray, I believe, I will receive. And so will he.
