My name is Eli and I've been suffering with problems about self-image and self-esteem for many years now. I've had many problems with my jaw, which resulted in abnormal and asymmetric growth mostly on the left side of my face. This started when I was fifteen, and I had to wait six years until I stopped growing until I could get orthognathic surgery to fix both my teeth alignment as well as my appearance. Those six years were some of the toughest years of my life. Unfortunately, my jaw actually did not stop growing and I experienced further growth on the left side of my face just a few years ago. I panicked and received plastic surgery in order to fix the matter, but the outcome really didn't turn out so well; now, my face is too narrow and I look very skinny, which many people have commented on. Even at a hundred and eighty pounds, people say that I look so thin, but in actuality they are judging my appearance through my face which is incredibly thin and long now.

My prayer requests is this: I plan on getting jaw implants, and I would like prayer that this would end my struggles with my face once and for all. I am planning to get surgery with a doctor in Boston who is supposed to be very good at this, and I just really want to move on from this issue in my life. I've had serious depressive bouts, social anxiety, and problems in my relationships because of this struggle and I just hope God will fix this part of me so that I can just live a normal life and glorify Him. Oftentimes, I feel like a victim because all my friends have become married and live great and wonderful lives, but I am now 28, alone and unhappy, and I still struggle with this issue. It's been fourteen years and often I just cry bitterly and despair over my life because of all that I've been through with my appearance. Please pray that God will heal this part of my life and my face so that I can fix what remains of my life.
