Dear brother and sister, please pray for me and my husband Robin Wu. It's a long story and I'll try to be brief.Â
We both are Christians and married in about 5 years ago in our Church in Australia. We really love each other and been leading bible study group in Church for couple of years. Everyone sees us as model couple.Â
Now, we are facing a very difficult time of our life. My father and mother-in-laws are forcing my husband to divorce me. It's due to many miscommunication and misunderstanding between us. Both in- laws are not Christians and when they asked his son to divorce me they told me that they don't like Christian. My in-laws are in China. Me and my husband has just got back from China at the end of Feb as we went to celebrate Chinese new year with his parents. However, due to some communication problem, his parents were so upset with me and eventually asked his son to divorce me. They've been asking for my husband to divorce me using many execuses. My husband just remained silent and didn't say a word. His mother asked him to divorce me after we got back to Australia and asked him to go back to China.Â
I've asked for pastor and brother and sister's help and they've been talking to my husband using God's word and asked him not to walk in a wrong way that will destroy himself and others plus our marriage. My husband is a quiet person and I never thought that he would hold so much things inside himself and suddenly expored. He told our brother and sisters that he hasn't been happy with me in many areas. Such as helping other people, inviting too many group members home for dinner, participated too much in Church, and some words I've said that really hurt him during our arguements. I never realizes he could hold on that long as I thought each time we had arguements and after I apologised he would let go but that's not the case. After he told me all this I apologised to him over again and again and told him that I'm willing to improve and change in the areas I haven't done well in the past and that I'm even willing to give up everything in Australia to go back to China with him to look after his parents later on. His parents are on their 60. I asked him to give me and our marriage another chance. Everyone including our pastor been telling him that it's agains God if he listen to his parents to divorce me as it's God's commandment that everybody should respect marriage and the vow we placed in front of God in our wedding. They told him that if he takes a shortcut it will not only destroy himself and our marriage but also his parents as well. His wrong decision will also make some of our brother and sister fall down. After he had some talks with the pastor and brothers and sisters his heart been softened... But, as soon as we got back to Australia his mother called him and told him that his father went for physical check up and found that there's a shadow in my father-in-law's lung and they decided to have an operation to cut the shadow. His mother request Jim to go back immediately and asked him not to come back to Australia. However, after he had long talks with our pastor, brother and sisters, he didn't promise me nor anybody that he would be back but he took our suggestion to buy a return ticket to come back in April 23 this year. He has gone back to China last Friday. He txt me saying he misses me... and that his father is going to have an operation this Saturday 13/3/10 Beijing time.Â
Please pray for his father's operation can go smoothly and successful so my husband can come back on time. It's really important that my father-in-law's operation is successful. Otherwise, things will get even more harder and complicated... Please pray for that and hope his father can recover soon after the operation...Â
Please also pray for my husband. Pray that the Holy Spirit can guard his heart and always remind him of God. Pray that he can stand firm in faith and that he would have the courage and wisdom to speak up to his parents that he won't divorce me and will come back to Australia. I told my husband before he left that I won't give up on him and I'll wait for him. I really precious and respect this marriage and want to be faithful to our Lord. I told my husband that I'm willing to improve and be a better wife and willing to give up my job and career if he wants to go back to China later on as long as we both are together. Please pray for our marriage and pray for God's mercy. I believe God wants us to learn and to grow in this test  and I'm willing to. Please pray that God will guard our marriage as He promised no one can set us apart including ourselves. Please pray God can bless our marriage and use our marriage to bless others not cursing others. Please pray that God can comfort and soften my in- laws heart and that they can accept me and forgive me. I told my husband that I'm willing to learn how to better communicate with my in- laws. Pray that God can bring my husband back to Him and my side...I told my husband that we can have baby after he comes back, please pray for that as well.
Please also pray for me as I'm so scared and depressed. My emotion is not stable and need God's comfort and support. I feel so lonely... and really need your prayer...
