Lord, bring clarity to this woman & her situation, that she be saved.
In the bible it clearly states that a divorced person is not free to remarry unless their spouse cheated on them. You have not said this is the case but that Bruce does have a history of failed loves.
It sounds as if Bruce needs to (as adoring1 says & I agree) get right with God. Also, the whole situation sounds so risky as to him being in any relationship with a woman right now, because he has not had closure with his ex, ever, he still toys with her & his past in this, he has children by that marriage, you have not said if there are other ex's but it is as if he has not stopped long enough to get his own life grounded.
Often when a person is led into a relationship where there is not a closure with an ex there can be unbearable heartache & problems that are too large to take on (which is exactly what you are describing). If his wife did not cheat on him during the marriage he is not biblically free to remarry.
For our healing we need groups of Christians for support, for platonic friendships. If you are free to marry biblically then it is likely if you desire marriage then often it is normal to desire this. If not, then God Calls us to be strong, which is the whole point in being Christian, to put on our armor & walk as HE ASKS us to walk.
Bruce knows exactly what he is doing & what he is getting into. I would say you are very wise to cut ties with this man if he is still connected to his ex (other than a relationship that is only in regard to his children) & even then if you had a relationship with him it is when it is ok biblically to do so in regards to a potential marriage partner. We have free will, but God Does Call On us to live by HIS WORD.
You just sounds very stressed & it is God's Love that brings us salvation & peace. We all need love, but this is not a healthy situation & perhaps seeking God as your Spouse would bring you calm.
It is amazing what one can do without when we live in union with HIM! It is HE WHO BRINGS us PEACE.
God Bless you. If you can, maybe let go of these preconcieved ideologies of this love of many years, that if he is your best friend/soulmate, then maybe it will not be until Heaven. Your salvation is important & to GOD!!! The chaos alone of it all sounds like that which would pull you from God. God is a God of Order & Peace, those are fruits of the spirit, not disorder & unrest.

She does not know we see each other at his request. Bruce went to NC with his youngest daughter, she was supposed to see her mother for the summer but it got cut short due to finances. He went with her in July for a vacation, that was supposed to be for 3wks, then it turned into he was coming home this weekend. Now its prolonged again, he got a call for a job interview in NC on this coming Tuesday. .. I don't feel any of this going on in NC is of God. He is in a situation that is unhealthy for him and his daughter. The house he is staying in they do not believe or worship God, they even think the house is haunted?, also the ex wife and the new man participate in sinful activities on a regular basis. I do know at one time Bruce did too. However, this time he made promises to me he wasn't going to cross those lines. I pray he is staying strong. I feel the devil has been romancing Bruce thru this situation and his ex wife. The spirits that bind him need to be released. His lines of right and wrong have become blurred. I have prayed a circle of protection around him. He desperately needs to find employment in MO. I felt God was guiding me to write him an email that included prayer yesterday morning. I think God speaks to us through people, or events, etc. But I have not heard from him since. I think Bruce was never supposed to go to NC. For a couple weeks prior to him going every time it was mentioned something went wrong with his car, flat tires, battery, hood latch, etc. I tried explaining to him that was God speaking to him, saying he wasn't supposed to go to NC. So instead the ex had been here visiting and he rode back to NC in their car with them! He left MO while on unemployment, not knowing if his extension was approved, no money to pay his bills, but left his son in charge of his home & car? He has had nothing but trouble since, unemployment stopped, taking a month to wait on extention. Even trying to sell something he purchased at an auction while there it took weeks to resolve the payment! About a week after he left I kept feeling like he was supposed to be home. I told him that God was speaking to me, he supposed to come home. He said not til end of July. The very next day his step-father had a stroke! All those things are signs from God that you're not making the right choices. It has been 10yrs and this man still keeps making poor decisions when it involves the ex wife. (The ex has even wished him to drive off the side of the road in bad weather, so if he passed away she would be free. The new man has also said he is tired of sharing) He has a pattern to his life of lost jobs, and loss of love. For a while he felt scared of love. However over this last year we have grown close. I love him more then I ever thought possible to love a man (with the exception of the love for my children). I also told him if given the choice of love or money, if he chooses money, it will fail. You have nothing without love. (His repeating past proves it) He has not spoken to me since I sent the email to him yesterday morning. I pray he understands everything expressed in it. I pray communication between us is restored quickly. I pray a job in MO shows itself to him in the next day or so. I pray the spirits binding him are released. I pray he is protected and guided in the right direction. Making better choices. I pray he is delivered safely home to me here in MO. He is a good man. I pray he chooses love. I want a fresh start to a new life with Bruce. I believe in my heart that is God's plan. The love between us burns like a fire. I pray it brings him home. I miss him so much it hurts, cutting through me like a knife. I want to see his eyes looking back at me. I beg you God please help me.
