Physical healing, spiritual awareness and forgiveness
Today my anger got the better of me. My mom has got cancer - again - and this time she has been told that all medicine can do is help with the pain, and she is in a lot of pain. with limited resorces we are hardly keeping our heads above water. My mom is to ill to work and my brother is unemplyed, what little my dad earns is just enough to get him to and from work each day. My partner and I are carrying the fanancial strain and it is taking its toll on our already fragile relationship. we have to move and Lord only knows where the money is going to come from. Today I sat with my mom, who was holding back tears because the glass she was drinking from was to heavy and was hurting her wrists. she is practically bed ridden as she cannot sit up for long periods of time... this is heartbraking and really makes me angry with the world around me and feel myself moving further away from the Holy Spirit. Something small triggered an explosion of emotions and I told my dad that when my mom dies I will disown him and he and my brother can get on with things on their own. I feel aweful because in the moment I meant every word. I often find myself thinking that maybe things would be better if the Lord took my mom home. The last thing I want is for her to die. I would give anything to take her pain and depression away, I wish every day that she will go into spontaneous remission and that my brother will find a job and lives will start getting better, but this all seems like some far fetched fantasy. Lord please remove these evil thoughts and selfpity from my being. Please give my mom strength and hope and faith. Lord please bless her with healing, in your name all is possible. Please help my dad and I to make peace, these are old wounds that keep resurfacing, help us lay them down for good. Please be present in my relationship. Help us to grow closer and stronger in these challenging times and finally Lord, please help my brother who is well and able to find motivation and go out and work. Father, I pray that you will bring peace and love and patience and kindnes back into our home.
May your will be done - Amen
