Please pray for my situation with my husband as I need guidance and wisdom. For the past few months we have been seeing each other quite regualarly despite that he is not ready to come home, however, he has become increasingly selfish. He wants me to remain in my commitment to him and perform all my wifely duties, but he just wants to receive and not give back. He wants the all the authority to call according to his need and I am to answer his demand, yet he deliberately pushes me away according to my need. And most recently because of a very bad week and all the overtime that I have done, I was tired, and told him I could not spend time with him. This infuriated him and he said he will go elsewhere to get his needs met if I don't.. Well, I didn't, because I could not, and I brought the matter up to God. I have not seen him since despite his asking me to come by yesterday and again tonight. I gracefully explained my needs to him and told him that he
would not go without, yet he is not forthcoming.
This is what I was afraid might happen if I gave into him without standing firm and having him come home as my husband first according to God's time, but under the councel of others, I went against my better judgement. I know this has worked for some reconsiled marraiges, but I do not think that it is good for mine. This man needs Christ, and I want God to do whatever is necessary to bring him to his knees in a true and complete confession and repentance. I want him to find that there is nothing in this world that will satisfy him but the blood of Christ Jesus. Whatever it takes, God, save him I pray.
If I am to remain and bare the ill treatment of my husband then so be it, if it will get him saved. But if our being seperated is part of God's plan to bring Rich to the end of himself, so that He and rebuild and restore what the locust have eaten, then so be it. Whatever God chooses I want to be obedient to His call and not my immediate gratification. Nothing is impossible for God! He can do all things without denying Himself nor the limited free will of man. Rich's salvation does not depend on whether he wills or runs but on God who has mercy (Rom. 9:16).
I give praise to honor to the God Most High for His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Thank You God for my present difficulties and taking me through them in a way that draws me near to You. Thank You, Father, for the restoration of my marraige, Rich's salvation, and that of our children, the growth of our walk and knowledge of You in Christ Jesus. Thank You, Father, that I can come boldly before You laying all my requests at your feet, knowing that none will go unanswered. Thank You, Lord, that every answer from You is for our best, for our future and for a hope. Thank You, for hearing me God, for knowing my heart, and for loving me, Rich, and our children, through all this. i give You praise, honor, and glory, for You are who You say You are!!!
Hallelujah!! ! Praise God! for nothing is hidden from Him! He knows the end from the beginning and all things are before Him. His Word goes forth and it does not come back void! What He purposed to do shall be done, for no plan of His can be thwarted! Thank You, Lord God Almighty! Thank You, Jesus Christ our Savior!
My joy shall overflow when I hear the praises of You from Rich and our children's hearts to their lips! Oh, Lord, that I may hear the glory Your name from within them!! I long for that day, my God, my Savior, my Hope, my Strength, and my All.
Thank You, Lord, in Jesus precious name I pray and give you praise!!! Amen!!!
In prayer and praise,
Deborah
