Hurt at work

I was upset today because it got back to me that my boss was comparing me to somebody else behind my back. I had trusted my boss to be very nice and though it wasn't a very negative comment it still hurt what was said because this boss was always nice to my face.
I know I need to forgive but I feel I will find it hard to relax and talk to this boss like before as things have changed. I feel like discussing it with a workmate just for comfort but I am aware it might get out of proportion. I just want to feel safe and ok again.
Please pray. Thank youJesus-sign

RE: Hurt at work

I am a retired older person and I can tell you, you best thing to do is to ignore it. I have seen many times in my life of others being jealous of their co-workers, and they say things like that just to upset them. Just ignore what that person told you and keep on doing your job and act as if nothing has happened. If you tell another person it will be worse for you, if that person who told you about your boss was just making the whole thing up, so you can't do your job well, or leave your job. Who knows if your position is higher they may want it for themselves, or your job for a friend. Don't fall into any trap, just go and have a little talk with Jesus, let him know how you feel about all these, and ask him for peace and wisdom.
Lord help this person with their situation in their job, stop all who may be out to hurt them short in their steps. Give them your peace and strength to go into work with a big smile in their face, and greeting everyone with a good morning, like I used to do. Soon they will stop when they see they can't hurt them anymore. Help this person to ignore them and stop listening to gossip, nor join in gossip with them. I pray in the precious name of Jesus Christ, amen.

RE: Hurt at work

Thank you retired old person for your wise words! I am not retired yet but I think you are completely right. However, I also know from my own and my friends' experience that if such things occur very frequently and you start to feel very bad at a workplace, it is good to try to find another job. One step at a time! I pray that God will lead this guest. May He bless you all! In Jesus name.

RE: Hurt at work

I too have been many times in the same situations, but instead of leaving my job, I would put on the amour of God each day before going to work, and persevered in job minding my own business, for greater is Him that is in me than those of this world. Before I knew they would be the ones to leave their job, or come around and stop harassing me. They would even have respect for me, and I would get promotions for avoiding trouble at work by being this way, which is the Christian way to handle situations. When you leave your job you can also lose your benefits, pension, and future employers will see how many times you leave your jobs and that is not good on your record.
Lord give this person the strength and wisdom on how to avoid trouble, and be strong to face the situations as they come with your help instead of running away. May they become a witness of how we Christians overcome the world with your love and help. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus our Lord and Savior. Amen.
