God never changes, he is the same today as the beginning of time and forever more. he knows me better than i know myself. i know he loves me more than all of the silver and gold put together, however I have been wanting to die recently. My honest question is do you think if i pray for my own death now that god will answer my prayer? i know that this is not his will for me to go right now but i want to be with god now and i have heard that their might be consequences if i take my own life but i heard that god will forgive that sin but if i pray and ask god to take me home now do you think that is the same as suicide and do you think god will let this happen if i really want it to happen? please look into your hearts and be honest with yourself and with me on this subject. I love god but my depression has been taken over my life for over 15 years and I have been on too many anti depression pills and therapy ect. so i just want to sleep and not wake up and i want to be heaven with god and Jesus and have no pain

In the Old Testament we read of Elijah asking God to take his life after the victory on Mount Carmel. Jezrbel threatened Elijah with death,and he fled knowing how she killed the other prophets of the Lord. Elijah's prayer wasn't answered in that moment. God still had tasks for him to complete, one of them being to anoint Elisha as prophet in his place. Eventually God did take Elijah up to heaven by a firey chariot,but it was in God's timing. He has an appointed time for all of us. I know this life is painful. These last four years for me have been hell on earth,with setbacks, death, and the pandemic. Still I have to go on. I have work still to do for Him and I believe we're getting near the end anyway. Don't lose heart your redemption draws nigh. I will pray that the Lord comforts you and strengthens you. In Jesus Name. Amen

I have too been in a place in my life where I thought life was not worth living and so painful, lonely, discouraged, and jobless. I too thought of ending it all, but I heard a little voice inside me convicting me and telling me, that I was only giving into the enemy who wanted to steal my eternal live from God our Father. I gave my heart all to Jesus and He really turned it all around for me. My prayer was not answered right away, I had to keep praying and holding to Jesus for dear life with faith that he will answer it. He sent many people into my life, people I didn't even knew, but that were kind to me and encouraged me to keep on living. Now many years later I can look back and I thank God for saving me, and for me listening to the holy spirit when it spoke to my heart. I pray you too can overcome whatever you are going though with God's help, and people I'm sure he will send your way to encourage you, even right here in this website. Those of us who will lift you up in prayers, remember you are not alone God is with you at all times, just keep reaching out to him, we are also here to pray for you.
Lord help this child of your and bless them the same way you have for me. Have them feel your love, peace, and strength giving them hope for a better future. For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
God did had plans for me and a better future which has kept me going for more than forty years praising His holy name. My faith has grown stronger as I've grown older, for I know He is a real God who loves us and wants us serve Him and to be happy. Glory be to God all mighty! I pray the same for you, hang in there for we do serve a living, mighty, loving, and merciful God.
Do not look around you in dismay not listen to what the wrong people say, just listen to God talking to your heart and keep your eyes on him. For others who are miserable love company, the enemy will send them your way to derailed you away from God, he can even use some Christians who are only Christians by name to do his work. That's why I say keep your eyes only on Jesus the only one who died on the cross for us. God Bless You!
