help my unbelief

When I pray to God I feel a wall go up. I know I am meant to prayer with a spirit of expectation but it feels like there is a barrier
I wish I could have the faith of a child
When I was a younger Christian I was niaive and believed God would give me what I thought I wanted but my faith was shook when my heart got broken in church,
Though I have since have had wonderful times with the Lord I still feel this barrier when I ask him for something specific - I think I just dont want to go through the disappointment again. I overthink also and analyse .
Pray please I will have the faith of a child and feel the love of Jesus for me as I did before- the freedom of knowing I can ask anything in his name, and I will trust him to give it to me and accept if He does not.
I also want to have this spirit of expectation when I pray for others requests

RE: help my unbelief

When the enemy attacks us we feel our prayers are not being heard, that's when you should pick up the bible and start praying the psalms as your prayers with faith in God and the enemy will run away. I have practice that for years when I feel the same way, believe me the psalms can be used as prayers when we can't pray, but also brings us much peace and make our faith stronger as we get close to God in the process of reading them. Read them as if they were your cry to God and prayer.
Lord bless this person and help them in the battle they are having. Bring them your peace and strength to become victorious in you. In Jesus mighty name I pray amen.

RE: help my unbelief

I'm deeply sorry to learn about the difficulty you faced in the church and I can certainly understand your feelings, friend. Just said a prayer for you that the Lord will surround you with His healing hand and fill you with His peace. Blessings!
