Do you sometimes feel...

Do you sometimes feel like you are in a waiting room? Waiting for your number to be called? Trying to be joyful, all the while praying without ceasing for an answer to come. No matter what happens you keep thanking God for what you do have, because that is what God wants you to do. “Wait on Him patiently.”

1 Thessalonians 5 (Contemporary English Version)

16 Always be joyful 17 and never stop praying. 18 Whatever happens, keep thanking God because of Jesus Christ. This is what God wants you to do.

Dear Lord, please hear my prayers as I keep praying for the answers to come. In Jesus Name. Amen

RE: Do you sometimes feel...

I was just reading about waiting JamesG, so I think this is for me too Smile. I was reminded of all the people in the Bible (several) who had to wait 40 days or 40 years! God wants us to be patient and I think that patience and trust are hand in hand.

Lord Jesus - help those of use who are waiting, to wait patiently. Holy Spirit give us the patience to endure for Your Will is made perfect in YOUR time. AMEN.

RE: Do you sometimes feel...

Yes JamesG, that is the way we sometimes feel. Did you see the movie beetlejuice and he swapped his number, which was in the millions for another number much closer? LOL! But it IS WONDERFUL that you are in the LORD"S waiting room!! Where there is love, hope, healing, happiness, provision, and forgiveness! He hears you, and his perfect will will be done. He is really setting there besides you, while you wait. So when one million two is called, he sees your love for him and how you have been there for others, while patiently waiting. He knows how hard you have tryed and that you have come to a point, where help is needed. Then he skips numbers ahead and showers you with wonderful blessings to get you going again, all in the LORD'S time. I don' know if it's 40 days or 40 years, But after We had prayed, for what seemed like a long time of 3 years, he blessed us with keeping our home of 10 years from foreclosure. I have 2 sons, 1 is in prison, last year due to the high stress of his brother being in prison, he became very, very sick and was in the hospital 31 days. Thought we were going to lose him, I prayer to the Dear Lord Almighty if it be his will, if he would touch him and heal him. But that if he brought him to heaven, if that be his will, that I wanted to thank him because he would be without pain and I knew the Dear Lord would take care of him, but that we would miss him very much.
Well, the Dear Lord touched him and brought him back to us. Still get teary eyed thinking about this. What a wonderful blessing! And JamesG there were even angels in his room above him, before the Dear Lord healed him. You couldn't see them, you could slightly hear them, but my son did not. He is still recovering and almost as strong as he once was. He had 10 abecsses on his liver and 12 on his brain, with infection throughout his entire body. So I think the Dear Lord, there is no set time, it's just according to his will. Be strong JamesG, The lord is with you, clear the path for his will to be done in your life. We are all praying with you.

Thank you ShootingStar - I have been battling depression during this waiting and I feel that what you have said above, was meant for me too. Thank you for our insight (A gift from God) and for writing it so well. I have never thought of being in a waiting room, which means God knows were are there. Lord Jesus - forgive me for wanting to jump the queue - please help us all know your presence while we wait. AMEN.

RE: Do you sometimes feel...

And while we wait, we know that we are in the best possible hands. We have to trust that God's timing is everything and that his perfect will is to prosper us. What has hit me recently is Luke 11.11, Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? it got me thinking that while Gods has given me the signs that he will reconcile C and I, that at the moment his bringing C and I together as I have asked would be like a father giving me a snake. He has to deal with C FIRST and this might take time - HE has to work with me too. So for now - God wants and needs ME to wait and i should not complain. AMEN

I have also been told that God wants me to get to really know HIM during this season of my life, as going forward HE has to be first in my life.

So I guess at least we all have each other in this waiting room and we KNOW that there is movement in the waiting room. AMEN.

RE: Do you sometimes feel...

Come May 29 my dog got sick and passed away. So it makes me empty and sad with her no longer around. I know to some people it was just a dog. But to me she was part of my world at the time. I still miss her and I can’t bring her back, she is gone forever.

Sometimes in life the things we want to come back to us may never happen. So we have to go on without them. Just cherish the time we spent with them and them with us. In your case there is always “hope”. In my case my dog Feisty will never come back again.

Dear Lord I pray that the waiting will soon be over for JW and that you will bring C back to her in a better more fulfilling way according to your will and purpose in JW’s life. In Jesus Name, we pray. Amen
