CLOSURE
My soon to be ex wife committed adultry with a teenage boy. I am 45 years old, she is 47. Of course the marriage ended after that happened over two years ago. I have been trying to get her to sign the divorce papers for almost two years, she of course is in jail and won't sign them for whatever reason. I really need this to be put behind me and move on.
I have/had a wonderful woman in my life but because of my fear of this happening again, I have found every reason to try and sabatoge my current relationship. Mary is a wonderful Christian woman. Please also pray that God would take the fear out of me and open my heart and eyes to this woman who truly loves me and won't hurt me like that. I also fear that I have done so much damage that I may have lost Mary. I need to be humbled and ask her for forgiveness. She has stood by me through all of this.
Thank you,
Mark

RE: CLOSURE
Mark, You need a good lawyer. You have every reason to want to put this terrible part of your life behind you. Then give yourself a lot of time to heal and get over all of this. As far as your other lady is concerned, she may be a wonderful woman and probably is, but as the above prayer warrior said, you need to be healed by the Lord before you begin a relationship with another lady. If you two are truly meant to be together, the Lord Jesus will work it out in His timing. I hope you are attending a good Holy Spirit filled church where you can get prayer and encouragement through God's Holy Word preached in an uncompromising way. We are living in dark days but the light of Jesus shines mightily around His people. May He heal you and help you to go on for Him.

RE: CLOSURE
Mark: I agree with Guest, having gone through this myself. While I dont doubt that Mary is a wonderful woman, you should not be in a relationship with her as you are still married legally. I understand your frustration about the divorce not being over, but you need time to heal and you need to stand before God single, and healed and then have a relationship with Mary. This call is very hard, trust me, I know as I have had to choose to walk in obedience to God's word and forsake my desires.
Holy Father, I pray for Mark. I pray that you will bring him the closure he needs if it is YOUR will for him now. I pray that you will speak into his heart and that he will seek you first in all he does. Bless this man, who will be broken by all of this, heal him and restore him. In the name of Christ. AMEN.
