Some seek God only for their own comfort and pleasure on this earth, especially Christmas is so misunderstood and misused by most of us, seeking this ultimate earthly satisfaction, where we should not lack or miss out of anything .. I hope and pray, we as followers of Jesus would forsake ourselve and seek Him first... Our focus should be God, not the holiday pleasures!

Lord, that noone is afraid to have YOU as comfort or that we take pleasure in YOUR LOVE & YOUR TRUTH. There is nothing wrong with this Lord, in fact this is exactly what YOU SEEK. Let us continually push into The Lord, never fearing HIS WILL, to walk the walk. Let no man pull us from YOU LORD or YOUR TRUTH, we rejoice in YOUR WORD. That no one be jealous of another's Christian's devotion to YOU & YOUR TRUTH LORD, but that we stand firm in our path, that is toward HEAVEN.
That Christmas be a daily thanks giving. Pleasure is not a sin, as long as it aligns with THE WORD. Give us more Lord, that we are filled with THE SPIRIT, THE HOLY SPIRIT! AMEN.

My english is bad and I was misunderstood by the replyer; I meant that many pray for God to give them this Hollywoodstyle happiness with selfish prayers to God asking Him to bring them their lovers back for the christmas holiday so they will not endure any pain or loss or lack any comfort and pleasure of this earth, to be spoiled with gifts and overfload of food; they seek materialistic comfort and pleasure not the real thing the love and comfort og God Himself - That will only be found by seeking Him one and only!

Lord, Your Healing in our lives this Christmas, that The True meaning of Christmas prevail, especially in these hard times where basic needs are requested over that which is not needed. Lord, YOU Are our greatest need!
