I know that there are far more important problems and prayer requests in the world. But my heart is full of anxiety and worry for my 12 year old daughter. I know that prayer is the only way to have peace in mine and my daughter's heart. My daughter has jr high cheer tryouts starting today, and ending Friday. My daughter is a sweet child with the kindest most gentle spirit. Socially, she is very awkward and tends to be a loner. Sometimes she seems so sad to me, and struggles to be around many people. I've driven around the playground and I have seen her walking by herself. When I talk to her about it, she tells me that she has friends, but prefers to be alone. She does not really have much athletic ability, and that does not usually bother her. She used to do gymnastics, but just never enjoyed it, and really could not tumble. She wants to be a jr high cheerleader. And, I do think if she makes it, it could really help her social skills and self image. I'm just afraid that there is a lot of competition, & that she won't make it. Please pray that she does make cheerleader this Friday. I think this could be a turning point for her to gain confidence & friendships.
