Father, I stand in agreement with this prayer and call it a done deal in Jesus' Name. He came to destroy all the works of the devil. Where there is light ther is no dark! Where The Hly Blood is present...death does not exist...The life is in His Blood for us Amen and Amen!

Truth is our most effective weapon in prayer against Satan. Jesus stood on the Truth when he was confronted in the wilderness. (Matthew 4:1-11) We should do the same. Find Bible verses that are particularly meaningful to you. The Holy Spirit can help. Either memorize them or write them on index cards. Repeat them often. And use them when praying against spiritual warfare.


Some examples of Biblical Truths and corresponding verses would be:

Jesus is our Lord and Savior and he’s triumphed over Satan. (John 1:1,14 & Colossians 2:15)
I am a child of God, seated with Christ in the heavenlies. (Ephesians 2:6-9 & 1John 3:1-3)
The Truth will set me free and Jesus is the Truth. (John 8:32,36 & John 14:6)
Biblical Truths shine light into the darkness of spiritual warfare.

Spiritual warfare is a fact of Christian life. Satan has been defeated, but he and his minions are not yet inactive. Two of our most powerful weapons against Satan’s attacks are the Bible—the Word of God—and prayer. Use them both, regularly, often, and with the passion of someone who’s been given the greatest gift imaginable. God defeated the enemy and sealed his doom with the work Jesus did on the cross. We share in that triumph.

You should know this if you are in Christ and read the Bible.

A Prayer for Spiritual Warfare Heavenly Father,

I know from the work of Jesus Christ that Satan and his minions are a defeated enemy. I also know from Your Word that the enemy continues to roam the earth and attack us. LORD, I ask for Your help in putting on the armor--the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the belt of truth, and the sword of the Spirit (Your Word)--in order to resist the enemy so he will flee.

By the authority of Jesus and in the power of His shed blood, I ask You to summon warrior angels to fight on my behalf if necessary. And if it is Your will for me to confront the evil spirits of the enemy directly, I ask You to guide me and protect me as I strive to pray and to live within Your will.

Grant me the patience, Father, to know that deliverance from the enemy isn't always immediate. Grant me a resolute spirit so that I am persistent in my prayer and steadfast in my resistance. And grant me the wisdom to remain alert, especially when it seems as if the enemy has moved on and ended his attack on me.

I praise You, Jesus, for Your victory over the enemy, for his complete defeat, and I claim that victory for myself as I abide in You.
