RE: BE NOT DECEIVED

Well said my - brother or sister? in the Lord. I only wished you did not have to hide under the veil of "Guest".

WE MUST NOT FORGET THAT WE ARE TO SUPPORT THOSE WHO ARE WEAK AND EDIFY ONE ANOTHER TO GIVE GOD THE GLORY.

At one point or another most of us have experienced trials, they are a part of our Christian journey. No one no matter how rich, powerful, good or bad is exempt from going through trials and tribulations. When times get so rough we find our selves asking God if our troubles will ever end. We find ourselves wondering why things don't seem to be working out for us, or why God has allowed these things to happen to us. This is when we have to remember that God loves us and he wants the best for us, he hears our faintest cry. No matter what hardship we're experiencing in our lives God has not forgotten about us. We've got to understand that going through trials is not by any means meant to punish us. God from time to time allows us to go through trials and tribulations in order for us to become stronger, and to gain spiritual enrichment through our experiences. Trails tend to bring out the person whom we truly are deep down inside. Going through trails is meant to soften our hearts and gives us compassion towards others who are in the same or worse situation than ourselves. Trails bring humility and open up our minds to our dependency on God and the purpose that he has for us. They put us in a place where the only person who we can rely on and turn to for help is God. Trials give us the opportunity to turn our sufferings into testimonies that give God the glory. Trials help us realize that there is much more to life than fulfilling our own selfish desires. They remind us that God is in control of our lives. They stop us from being self centered individuals, and instead help us to turn to God and make him the center and focus of our lives. Once we allow God to be the center of our lives everything begins to fall into place, and it's at that point when we can begin to experience peace even in the midst of our troubles.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

RE: BE NOT DECEIVED

As I was journaling a few years back, this is what Holy Spirit showed me:
"It is the storms of life that I find growth happens. Storms are where the beauty of grace allows for integrity and excellence of character to be born and become evident in the life of a believer. Storms are where my love for God flourishes and blossoms because I understand that He trusts me to get through them, for He has promised me to give me no more than what I am capable of handling. Storms are where the revealed will of God comes to light as we are changed from glory to glory because we choose life instead of death. Storms are where the rejoicing heart glorifies and praises the God of the Universe. Storms are where we submit ourselves therefore before God, resist the devil and he flees. Storms are where Jesus is the constant abiding presence of peace in a heart of one who knows Him. You want to grow in the knowledge of who you are in Christ, then see the storms as growing periods and begin praising God for His faithfulness to get you through it. Without storms growth doesn't happen, lives don't change, trust isn't built, and love doesn't flow.

A close friend said: ”we place ourselves in storms when we step outside the revealed will of God.”.

But storms will come when we are in the absolute revealed will of God, because as He is, so are we in this world.

We are to be ambassadors of Christ on this earth. What did Jesus do? He came revealing the love of God because he loved the unlovely and the sinner. He came revealing the grace and mercy of God because He showed compassion to the hurting soul. He came revealing the forgiveness of God, because he healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out devils.

God is love and without His example, we would have no comprehension of what 'love' is!"

You are indeed blessed and much loved by our Extravagant Father, His Son and Holy Spirit who makes His abode in us!

My sister wrote:
"if there were no trials or storms in our life, there would be no reason to call upon Jesus for help and strength, and trials and storms shape our character because out of those trials and storms reveals what is really ruling over us, our fleshly desires, or the Spirit of God. This is the perfect time to ask God to pour out within you anew the love of God, and to give you eyes to see people as He sees them, of value and worth. Each of those people you see as your enemy, well, they aren't your enemy. Those who aren't born again have a spirit that is dead to the things of God, and unless our lives manifest the love and character of Christ, they may never come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ"
