RE: Interesting Question
Do you believe a wise man will gamble away hard earned money or the rent and food out of their family mouth? No matter if they are Christians or not, that is only the act a foolish irresponsible person. Please think about it very carefully. This is why we Christians don't believe in gambling. We supposed to be wise and grateful with what God sends our way. It is most likely that you will lose not only your money but your shirt too when you indulge in gambling. It's a sinful sick illness to indulge in it. Lord help this person to learn to be wise with the blessings you them, open up their spiritual eyes and hear so they will be able to understand this. I ask and thank you in Jesus Precious Name and give you all the Honor and the Glory Heavenly Father, Amen.

RE: Interesting Question
Always remember that God has given us an excellent guide for our life, that's His Holy Word. So read it frequently and you will find most of the answers there, or give you a real good idea. I don't know off hand where the reference of the wise man and the foolish man is in the bible but believe me it is there. We should all be good steward of the blessings God sends us. When His word is in you it is more easy to know what to do in life. My prayer is that God will guide you in your life and may He Bless you too! Love in Chirst.

RE: Interesting Question
1 Cor. 6:12
"Everything is permissible for me" - but not everything is beneficial.
"Everything is permissible for me" - but I will not be mastered by anything.
In bible does not cover every single moral standards or sins. One thing for sure that God had given us guilty concious for all human kind so we had law, moral standards and above all God's standard.
If Law and moral standards allow, then what is God's standard. However, we knew in our guilty concious and moral standard that others will question our faith and our relationship with God. I believe that it is permissible,
1) If you can answer honestly that the activity is glorifying God
2) If you can answer honestly that the activity is not stumbling someone
3) If you can answer honestly that the activity does not grief the Holy Spirit.
Luke 17 - What Jesus said about causing someone to stumble.
Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. 2 It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin.
