Please pray to help my marriage
I have prayed and prayed for weeks asking God to help turn my husbands heart. I thought everything was 'ok' in my marriage, of course any couple is going to have problems but I would have never thought it was this bad. On Dec 11, 2011 he said he wanted to make a baby. The night of Dec 19 (night before my birthday) he got drunk and was very mean to me. Well, on my birthday he gave me a beautiful card and gift. He framed a picture of us in formal wear. The card had written in it, "You know how much I love you" and within 18 hours he asked for a divorce.
I found out he had been talking with an ex girlfriend (married with kids, i think lives in California) and sharing all his discontentment, martial woes, unhappiness... etc etc but nothing with me. I take medication for anxiety and he told me I was unemotional and unaffectionate because of the medication. So on the 21st of Dec I stopped taking the medication cold turkey. In the next 8 days everything just collapsed, On Dec 29 when I told him I needed better answers then 'unemotional and unaffectionate' he told me he never loved me, our wedding vows meant nothing; they were just words, the only reason he married me was because he had 'high hopes'. Well, this caused me to have a nervous breakdown (that and being off my medication for 8 days). Well, I've had my medication adjusted and now I feel great. He is still colder than ice to me. He keeps pushing for me to sign divorce paperwork. He won't even give our relationship a chance or even an opportunity to try to fix our marriage. We haven't even been married for 1 year. I keep praying Jesus will heal his heart and guide him to him. I feel like if my husband can find Jesus again our marriage has a chance at being saved.
Please pray for him to find Jesus, for the reconciliation of my marriage, the courage to try again and the softening of his heart.
Thank you
