My sister is currently in an unhealthy relationship with herself and with her on and off boyfriend of 3 and 1/2 years. She is extremely self-conscious of her intelligence and physical being and has been since a young age. She is easily manipulated by others in her personallife and otherwise and has become more self-conscious and critical of others than ever before over these past 3 years. Since she started dating this current guy, who shows no affection towards her, has cheated on her in the past, and has rejected her desire to get married twice before, she has become very defensive if someone disagrees with her or says something negative about her boyfriend. She is 33 years old, wants to have kids soon, but after 6 or 7 break-ups with this guy she claims that he is trying to be better and they are planning on purchasing a home together in the spring. Me and my family are concerned that he is going to leave her high and dry with a mortgage and hurt her emotionally again. I pray that my sister finds the strength and confidence in herself so that she no longer has to hurt others verbally to feel better about herself, and I pray that she is able to find herself in a healthier relationship with herself and with someone who will provide her with the love and support that she deserves.

Father, please bring discernment to this sister and quiet the desperation of her heart. Let her see that she is fearfully and wonderfully made and as the child of the most high God deserving of love from a mate. Let her have the courage to let go of those things that hurt her and wait on you for the mate that you created just for her. Father , help her that she not cast her pearls before swine.
