God guidance has left me confused.
I have been praying for guidance and requesting prayers for guidance about an aspect of my faith. There is much conflicting evidence for both sides of the issue at hand. Now with all the prayers that have been going up about this the guidance God has sent me has been intense. It led me in a direction that not only I am not comfortable with, but also if the other side of the arguament is correct then it would spiritually be a truly terrible thing to do. One argument says yes to it, the other argument says no to it. After feeling quite OK with it after never feeling comfortable, I have now been led back the other way to how I first felt it was not right. I do not know what is going on. I accepted the guidance as Gods will and for that reason I accepted it as I do only want to do Gods will. But now I have gone back to discomfort. Is God testing my faith to see if I will truly obey His will? What is going on? It's not only a case of what does He want me to do, but a serious case of is this correct teaching? I just don't know what to think. Why is this guidance just carrying me around and around in circles? PLEASE PRAY FOR ME.

Measure your answers against God's word. He never contradicts his word. If it is contrary to His teachings, it is not of him, but the enemy. I will pray for you to have clarity and discernment.

RE: God guidance has left me confused.
Well, the Lord is not the author of confusion and if you are confused about something, chances are that it is not the will of God. Please do not take this the wrong way, but you may be relying upon your emotions to guide you--which is quite easy to do when we are emotional beings. The best thing to do is what you have been--begin by praying to God and submitting fully to His will for your life. Second, you need to read your bible and study it thoroughly. The Lord will speak to you if you ask Him to open your heart to see what the answer is to your dilema. I hope that that helps you in your situation and that my advise hasn't been too harsh or vague.
Dear Lord,
Please make Your will abundantly clear to this person. It is obvious that they have the desire to do what You have asked, but it is a cloudy road. I pray that You would give them all the reassurance they need for the direction You want them to take--for the stand You would have them to make. Please, touch their heart and show them Your way and Your path.
We ask in Christ's name. Amen.

RE: God guidance has left me confused.
Remember 2 Timothy 1:7 says "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Until we know the Word of God, we will be subject to those forward and back conflicts to make us give up. This is why reading the Old Testament is good, I suggest you read Exodus. God seldom has us make dramatic moves unless we are threatened and in danger. Therefore, if something doesn't make you feel right and empowered it is probably a trap.
Oh Heavenly Father
Give us clear instructions, casting out the spirit of fear, and show us the paths we must take, to you.
In Jesus Name, Amen
