Lord God...I am a sinner. I will always be a sinner......I know you know this and that you accepted me knowing that I will never be what you want me to be. Lord I don't understand that. I accept that and praise you and love you for accepting me, but I don't understand. All I can do is say thanks I guess. I'll try and make the right decisions of faith. Its just so frustrating lord when I know I can't resist temptation in certain areas of my life. I know what is good. I know what to do. But I can't. I cry for help and occasionally you provide it, but I can't stop. Lord why can't I stop. I can do all things through christ who strengthens me...except stop. I just want to make you happy. Why is it a sin to lust and covet. Why would you create a desire within humans that is hard wired...and then condem it. We must reproduce...males lust...we can't stop. It's impossible. Why create something that will always fail you. Lord I am tormented every day. Sometimes I wish I could just be with you. Lord I'm lonely. Adam was lonely...so you created Eve. I have no Eve....but I need one. So I fulfill my needs, and in doing so sin. Lord....help. I need you. I want you. I don't want to be weak...I don't want to cry...I refuse to give up....but I can barely go on. Lord .........help.

Lord the road is narrow that we must take when walking with you. You never said that it would be easy. Somethimes I think that the challanges are hard. You said we are more than conqueres by Christ Jesus. You said when we were tempted that you would always provide a way out. I pray that this person will gain understanding through reading the word and getting closer to you. Your word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Let the joy of the Lord be this persons strength. Thank you that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Lead and direct this persons thoughts. Let their thoughts be stayed on you and they will have peace. No one will be perfect this side of heaven. christ knows that we will have times when we will fall, but he is there to pick up the pieces and reconcille us to himself. Bring peace, joy and love into this persons life and let them walk in confidence and not in defeat in Jesus name I pray.

Father God, cause this one to focus on YOU and YOUR GLORY. I pray every time they begin to focus on the other, they will force themselves to focus on YOU. This has been my help and my hope whenever I dwell on things I should not. I start to pray and think about You...and my thoughts are deflected. Help this one to find a deeper relationship with You, one where they are taken, by Your Spirit, deep into Your Presence...and begin to live the reality of the Scripture which says "At Your right hand our pleasures forevermore." Let the pleasures of earth fade and the pleasures the Lord's Presence give them something so much more satifying and fulfilling. They know that there is no peace with what they are doing...but when we come into Your Presence there is peace, joy, love and all manner of wonderful blessings. Teach them how to come into Your Presence with rejoicing...and not need the things of the world.

This lust is not of You. You did not create this lust. You created us be in loving relationship and "know" our mate. This was created for us to bring pleasure to another...not ourselves. Please show Your child the truths in Your Word in regards to this, so they gain a different persepctive. Father, show them that until they treat this area differently, they would not treat their Eve with the love and respect she would be deserving of...and they would not be able to be intimate in the sense of "knowing" that Adam knew his Eve with.

It is hard to be older and single (I know, for I am), so give them peace in regards to this. Show them that lonliness comes, not from not having a mate, but from not having an intimate relationship with their God. You alone, Lord, can make us WHOLE. No person can complete us. Unless we are complete and whole in You, we never will be. There is no human that can be our "soulmate," for Jesus, You must be our soul mate. Lead this one, by the wooing of Your Spirit, into the kind of relationship with You that brings them satisfaction, fulfillment, joy and peace. Lead them into deep, loving intimacy with You.
