You have to be faithful for you can't pray for something and then do the apposite. If it's your marriage you can't be praying for it to be heal and then go out with someone else, that is not acceptable to God, and you just stop God from answering your prayer. Or get angry because your prayer was not answered right away so you go get a divorce, this is like telling God forget it I give up. Then we expect him to come to redo the harm we have already done to the answer he had prepared for us. We have to remain faithful to God and let him see you love him above all things, and he will then do wonders for us. Praise his holy name!
