Confused.. don't know what to do..

In a situation that I feel like I can't escape. I'm in love with an ex-boyfriend. I never thought we'd rekindle, but we did. It all started as a dream I had about us reuniting, at least 2 dreams. I thought nothing of it, but the dream came to pass. We're both emotionally attached to eachother, but the problem is he's the opposite of what I prayed for in a man. We live a complete different lifestyle.. I've asked God why him of all people. The only thing I could come up with is that this is either a test from God or maybe God is using me to get this person's head on straight. I have trust issues w/this person, and there has been plenty of times where I just felt like he isn't worth my time. It feels like history repeating itself. This situation has left me confused QuestionQuestion!!! I've been single for over 3 yrs, why would God put me through this again..it happen unexpectedly. Pray for the person and my situation.
