My name is Lori and I am going through a very difficult time. I am 17 and have had a relationship w/ my boyfriend for almost 3 years. We started out great and happy but my parents oppose my relationship and their actions have turned my relationship into something ugly. I guess you could say that love has kept my boyfriend and I together but now my boyfriend is sick of my parents. They control me but I can't do anything about it because I'm not the kind of girl that rebells against her parents. My boyfriend wants to marry me at 18 but I don't want to because I'm much too young. My boyfriend is 3 years older than me& he is a great guy. I love him and don't want to lose him, but I also dont want to sin against God by disobeying my parents. I have done so much to make my parents see that I am growing.I got out of High School to join a program with the university here where I live and am finishing my junior& senior year in college. When I graduate, I'm going to graduate with my High School diploma and my associates degree. I cleaned my whole house and cooked so they could eat when they got home from work and I even did my mom's nails for her. I don't know what to do anymore.
