Letting go of your desires, when I say this, the maturing as a Christian is allowing your desires to align with God's Desires For us.
This is part of maturing, the place where I believe you are stuck & some of this is the 19 y.o. part.
Yes, God Gives us the desires of our heart, but they have to align with HIS WILL.
In ways you are wise & in some ways you are maturing..we are all maturing in Christ. You have that correct!!!

Mel, I see many 19 y.o. comments, as to your desires & that you do need to learn to let go of your desires, the growing up as Adoring 1 is saying. I also see in the comments she speaks of that it is good to be very cautious when being angry with God. We are here to serve & please HIM. It is about HIM.
However, you are 19.
You are right, there are things you see & understand that others may not. To minimize or negate this is to say you do not matter & this is not so & why the comments hurt you so badly that Adoring 1 made.
Every Christian is shown things that are unique to them. This is what sets us apart. It is however, as Adoring 1 says, about HIM.
I will pray for you. In ways you are very mature for your age, & as you say, also you are very much 19 in your thought processes.
You are maturing. As Christians we are never matured, we are maturing. That is something you are very aware of, & this sets you apart & shows your maturity as a Christian. You are right, no amount of study will give someone all the answers. It is our own personal relationship with CHRIST that matters, & our marturING in Christ.
I pray that you will learn to let go when things are not working out, this is part of growing up, as human beings, this is where I think you are stuck & has to do some with your age. But I also pray that your fire for Christ continues, that noone ever shuts you down to where you want to give up on God.
If you can take people's advice to you, the part where it is their age & wisdom that is speaking, yet keep your God peace that is unique to you, then walk with it. Mel, in some ways you are wise in Christ & in some ways you are growing, as a 19 y.o. & maturing.
We all are maturING in Christ & you are right, noone has all the answers. Only God.
