One last thing Mel...I want you to remember the story of Jesus in the Garden just before his arrest...and the beginning of his ordeal. He said to the Father..."Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." Luke 22:42 He was speaking of the torture of him dying on the the cross that he was to come. The part of him that was man, was flesh was afraid...but the the words that changed the world were stated...yet not my will....but yours...

I ask that you think about the why behind this...Jesus was divine...and had he wished he could have defied the Father and been disobedient...and acted in his own will...but he chose not to. The nature of the Father...which is what Theology means by the way...the study of the Attributes of God the Father...shows throughout the Word...he would have allowed it if that was what Jesus had chosen...just as he foreknew that Adam would disobey...and he let him. Jesus was the second Adam...but Adam perfected and came to right what Adam had ruined in spirit...God knew he would follow his will. Even Jesus divine in the flesh would not...could not due to perfect understanding of spiritual law act outside of the Fathers will...it is very important to consider Mel...as the entirety of Christianity is based on the walk of Jesus...what he did...the Old Testament was fulfilled by his life...all New Testament scripture is designed to provide us with greater insight into HIS walk...and yet he said...your will not mine be done...
