Reacting to triggers

My mother can sometimes say hurtful things, she can stir things and press people's buttons, and cause people to get upset and react, she also has very good qualities, pray I will heal from wounds rather than let it steal my peace, or react sinfully. She now has mild dementia, but she had this problem with her tongue when she was younger too, with dementia she can say strange things which make no sense but there can be hurt there too, I do not want it to take my peace, we otherwise have a good relationship it can be lovely, we have a special bond, but now and then she can switch, pray The Lord will help me rise above these attacks and fully forgive , I know I am not perfect either, I just don't want this to have power over the peace given to me, I need grace and ability to step back rather than let Satan have power over me. May she be convicted in her heart, so that she will be more like Jesus. She believes but can still switch here and there. I do not want her words or behaviour to be a trigger for me anymore. Jesus-sign Thank you
