My mother is in her eighties. Her mobility is very poor and she has fallen a few times. We had specialists in who gave her mobility aids and simple exercises. Yet she refuses to use them or do the simple exercises which could'nt be easier. She is hanging onto furniture, which is dangerous and in unnecessary pain. I want to make life as easy as possible for her. But she chooses otherwise and it is very frustrating. I have started to get stressed and depressed. Whether I try to coax her gently or get annoyed it makes no difference. She sees I am upset yet won't cooperate. I could just sit back and let go but the fact is that she can't manage herself. She has turned on me a few times too and I am sometimes left in tears afterwards. I am living in the family home and in one way it all makes sense- with virus about and financially- but I am wondering if God wants me to move on, it can drag me down and I wonder is it good for my spirit.I do love her but she resists my help and I can't force her. I want her to be at peace in mind , body and spirit. She also suffers from depression and I feel the weight of this. We do have lighter happy times but there are real problems that are not being dealt with healthily. Please pray . Thank you.
