I can relate with a similar story and still to this day at Holiday family gatherings the abuse and disrespect still continues, but the pain I keep inside because they are the only family and I try to be the light in the darkness and try to keep the peace and ask the Lord how he would have me to handle this, it only gets worse as you get older, if you don't let it go.
