The word of God tells us in Proverbs 3:4-6
4 So you will find favor and good repute In the sight of God and man. 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.…

Remember all we need to know to have a guide from God is in His word, you just have to pick it up and read it with faith in your heart that he will give you the answers you are seeking for guidance in your own life. So start reading the bible and you will find the answers and be closer to God.
Dear Lord guide this person to abide by you so they can hear you talk specially to them, and guiding them throughout their life. In Jesus name I pray amen.
