My older brother - he is 22, I am 15 - was diagnosed a few years ago with retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerative disease affecting his sight. He is only 22 and found out today that his eyesight has worsened suddenly and considerably, and within two years he may not even be safe to drive anymore - he could eventually become blind. As a very visual and independent young man, he is deeply shocked by this news. I am unsure of where his faith stands but I know at this time that he needs God more than ever - please pray that he will be healed if it is God's will, and regardless that he will experience a renewed faith in God, a deep resonant faith in which he can find strength, joy and peace - and also hope for his future despite his sight impairment.
