Sure know what it's like to battle alone and seem to lose round after round of the fight. But as I sd to two of my fellow-teachers, "You only have to be STANDING at the end to have won!" We had a terrible Principal (Head Master) and we kept encouraging each other and PRAISE YOU JESUS we were still standing at the end! JUST KEEP STANDING. If you get knocked down, just get up again as soon as you can. Reminds me of that Sir Bedevere in Mallory's poem abt King Arthur, "I will go aside and bleed awhile, then come back and fight again."

Take time out for yourself. Give yourself a treat. Then come back into the battle. "For no testing has come to you that isn't common to the human race. But God is faithful, and will not allow you to take more than you can bear. He will, with the testing, make a "way of escape" so that you will be able to keep standing." (1 Corinthians 10:13).

It's litlle "ways of escape" WITHIN bad situations, not escapes FROM them. He often keeps us in them until we learn what lessons He is trying to teach us. Often just to be patient. To develop a strong Christian character. To be a soldier who knows how to persevere under enemy fire. And not to Isaiah 50--where there were people who got sick of the darkness God put them into, so they lit their own fires. And God sd to them, "You will lie down in sorrow." Let HIM bring you out of darkness in HIS perfect time.

"When He has tested me, I shall come forth as GOLD."
"GOLD, tried in the fire."
"The testing pot is for silver, but the FURNACE is for GOLD."
NEB, don't settle for anything less.
