RE: I get the message, we are losers
Lord teach this person, how to forgive and reveal to her that forgiveness is giving up resentment toward someone and letting go of the right to hurt her back and the demand that the guilty one pay for the wrong he did. Help her to forgive where she has trouble forgiving those that have hurt her and enable her to leave all vindication in Your capable hands.
Reveal to this person, that although unforgiveness looks very much like justice, and forgiveness seems unfair it is not so. And that her struggle with forgiveness goes against her God-given sense of what is just. Yet You God, call her to forgive those who don't deserve it!
Train her to pardon the guilty and not to continually rehearse the wrong suffered until her desire for retaliation and pain seems totally justified. Reveal to my husband the destruction it causes to continually be angry, demanding repayment, erroneously believing that releasing a person from deserved punishment is unfair!
Open this person’s eyes so she may see that You, Father, had faced the same dilemma when all humanity had sinned and was deserving of eternal separation from You. And that You couldn't simply forgive sin arbitrarily, because You would then cease being just. But that our forgiveness is possible only because divine justice was satisfied by Your Son's payment for our sins. And now God, because of this, You are free to righteously forgive her.
Grant this person the ability to accept Your forgiveness and to give up all rights to hold anything against anyone else. Teach her that an unforgiving heart is miserable because it is far from You, God, who is the source of all peace and joy.
Teach this person, how to release any harsh feelings or any grievance she may be holding onto. For it keeps her imprisoned in emotional turmoil, but when she lets it all go let her experience the freedom that forgiveness brings. For Christ has provided the key of forgiveness, therefore, help her take hold of it, Lord, and unlock the dungeon door so that she may walk out into the light.
Lord help this person, to forgive those who have seriously hurt her even though it may be one of her most challenging "assignments." Grant her more than just a desire to obey You, God, or to say the right words for it will not necessarily accomplish the task. Touch her mind Lord so that old memories and pain cannot steal back into her mind, stirring up emotions of anger and injustice.
Though this person may have a responsibility to take the initiative to forgive soon after suffering harm, help her through the progression of forgiveness of the deepest hurts within her soul. Teach her to begin the forgiving process immediately to prevent a root of bitterness from developing. But also to remember that the deeper the hurt, the more time it will take to work through forgiveness. Keep her from becoming discouraged while reminding her that You, Lord, will walk with her each step of the way.
Reveal to this person, that confession to You, God, is the beginning of the process. Help her to come before You, admitting any resentment and acknowledging it as sin. As she lays her anger and hurt before You, Lord, heal her broken heart.
If this person must go to the offender and confess her sinful attitude toward her, help her to do so with all humility. Let her come before her offender without building a case or itemizing the offender’s wrongs but simply to admit her own. Although the offense against her may seem greater than her unforgiving attitude, help this person to avoid the temptation to "rank" sins. And teach her how to leave all judgment to You her God.
Lord, reveal to this person, that forgiveness brings freedom from the agitation that accompanies resentment. Help her to work through the process, that she may begin to see the one who hurt her through eyes of compassion, and to be able to thank You, God, for the opportunity to learn forgiveness and live in Your lavish grace.
Lord God, for reasons known to You this person, needs Your forgiveness. Because I sense and know that she has need of Your forgiveness, I come to You today, praying Your very words back to You in order that she might be forgiven. Bless now the very words from Your mouth on my husband’s behalf. Thank You now in Jesus’ name. Amen.
I pray as far as the east is from the west, so far have You, God, removed my husband’s transgressions from her and have blessed her for her transgressions are forgiven, and her sins are covered.
I pray that in You, Jesus, this person has redemption through Your blood, the forgiveness of her trespasses, according to the riches of God’s grace which He lavishes on her in all wisdom and insight, having made known to her the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Himself.
I pray, God, that You wipe out my husband’s transgression for Your own sake and will not remember her sins.
I pray that this person, forsakes her way and all her unrighteous thoughts that she may return to You, Lord, that you will have compassion on her, for You will abundantly pardon her.
I pray that my husband will bear with others, and forgiving them, if she has a complaint against anyone, just as Christ forgave her, so she also must do.
I pray that because my husband is in Christ, she is a new creation. The old things have passed away and she shall behold the new things that have come.
I pray that if this person, confesses her sins, You, God, are faithful and righteous to forgive her her sins and to cleanse her for all unrighteousness. And You will cleanse her for all her iniquity by which she has sinned against You, and You will pardon all her iniquities by which she has sinned against You and by which she has transgressed against You.
I pray that whenever this person stands praying, if she has anything against anyone she will forgive that person, so that her Father who is in heaven will also forgive her her transgressions.
I pray that if my husband sins, she knows she has and Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
And I ask in Your precious name Christ Jesus, believing You will do whatever I ask in Your name for all these things according to what You have spoken, so that You, the Son, may bring glory to the Father. Amen.
