anxiety and job opportunity
Hi there,
I am so grateful to anyone who can offer a prayer for me. I am a substitute teacher and do not have a lot of experience running my own classroom. I have a great love for children and have awesome relationships with the students I sub for. Today, a job came available that would be perfect for me with students I already know! However, I have severe anxiety and absolutely no confidence in myself (specifically in terms of doing a job interview - I freak right out! Not a good impression!). I ask please for prayers - prayers so I know if this is the job God wants me to have; prayers for confidence and the knowledge (I know it's there somewhere!) to respond to the tough questions; peace in my heart regardless of the outcome; and prayers for a major confidence boost in myself (I am always comparing myself to others and deciding they're better for the job than me, so why bother applying.)
I find that my lack of confidence has held me back many times before in terms of applying for jobs. I cannot go on like this. It's time to settle down and really get my career started. I really fear letting myself and others down. Please, any prayers would be appreciated more than I could ever say!

RE: anxiety and job opportunity
Dear Friend, I pray for you in the Name of Jesus for boldness and confidence in this interview! I bind all fear by the Blood of Jesus! Fear is NOT of God. You know where it comes from. "God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, power, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7 You already have the experience needed here and you know how to get along with these kids. Now, that is the majority of the battle! Go over the books you use and review the CONTENT so that you feel confident to teach it. Some people are naturals at teaching and you sound like one of those. Have confidence in God to help you everyday. Make lesson plans, list the steps on the board, or do whatever helps you each day. God bless you dear and I know that He will bless your teaching and these kids if you will trust Him.
