Grieveing crisis/Alcoholic husband

Dear Brothers and sisters. I am in such a state of oppression that I almost can't function. I am so distressed as my daughters birthday is approaching and I lost her twin sister at 7 months. I will never be able to have another one and I am so grieved. My husband is an alcoholic and it adds to my distress. I feel like I run myself ragged and I can't accomplish anything. My husband stands in the garage and drinks beer. He is detached and I don't feel that I can trust him. I am embarrassed by him and our/my situation in that respect. I feel his drunkenness has robbed me of so much. He lies to my daughter about things that happened long ago. Please pray.

RE: Grieveing crisis/Alcoholic husband

Father, quiet this woman's spirit that she may hear your voice. Comfort her in this time of distress and let her trust that this little one is in your care and that she will see her again. Focus her energy that she might know a sense of accomplishment from all that she does. Help her to see this man as he is...broken, hurting and tormented by these vices. Where only he and you Father can break the hold his drinking has on him...let her know that prayers of the righteous changes things and changes people. Lead her to a supportive group like Alanon or such that can support her in finding and keeping her own voice and identity...and Father, please help her to see even in the midst of these troubles there are blessings...one child of her womb survived for her to love and to honor that gift with praises for you. Blessings come down when praises go up. We thank you that you receive both our prayers and praise. In Jesus name...Amen!
