Crying out to The Lord

First, thank you to anyone taking the time to read this and pray for me. I've never done this before but I'm in a broken state and desperately crying out to God for help. I've been a believer for 20 years and have seen the Lord work in my life but I've never encountered a trial like the one I'm in right now.

I was blessed to have my dream job and live in my dream city, with all of our extended family, for the past 8 years. This year at work, there were many changes and many people lost their jobs. I was given many aggressive goals and God enabled my team and I to accomplish them. I was reassured repeatedly that I was part of the long-term future for the organization. Out of nowhere, I was notified on June 1st that my position was being eliminated effective immediately. This job was our only source of income as my wife stayed home with our four children (10, 9, 7, and 4). We made many sacrifices for her to do this and have been okay with no vacations, a smaller home with a longer commute, and old cars.

Seven weeks after this happened, I've been offered a job 3,000 miles away that will require me to work 60-70 hour weeks. I have no peace about moving away from all of our family and I don't have peace that this job will allow for balance in my life. Moreover, there are no guarantees that it will last more than a couple of years. I'm desperately praying that God will deliver a miracle within the next two weeks that provides a way for us to stay in the city we're in and have a future here. I've laid everything before The Lord and am waiting on Him. I am broken and have shed many tears over the last few days begging for God to restore me here. Thank you for your prayers over the situation and my family.

RE: Crying out to The Lord

The Lord is with you!
Joshua 1:9
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
