Overwhelmed
Please pray that I can have a break. I am the mother of two teenagers. The older one is insolent. Half the time he does not go to school and when he is there he refuses to turn in any work. He is bigger than I am and I can't physically make him go to school or he becomes violent with me. Yet I am the one who will pay the price for his actions. He is very mean and is only kind to me when he wants money and when he does not get it he becomes verbally abusive.The younger one gets very angry and screams and curses at me. Neither one will help me with anything. My house is a mess. No matter how much I clean they just come behind me and mess it up again. No one will help me. I have no family and my church family does not help me. For every step forward I take I go three steps back. I pray to God for help. I pray that he will send someone to help me. I am still waiting. My older one refuses to go to church because he feels that people there should give him more respect and treat him better than everyone else. Get real! Now the window in my car is broken. We tried to fix it and it slipped off track again. Please pray that I can get to work tomorrow. Please pray that we can fix the problem with the window. Please pray that I can just have a time of peace instead of this constant turmoil!

RE: Overwhelmed
Father, pray for your peace to reign in this lady's house. That You would soften th hearts of her children- and change them from the inside. Let them be source of constant support and joy to her. I pray Lord that You would be her helper, even if there is no one to turn to- that you would provide miraculously and build her faith deeper. Lord, let her turn to you always as her closest friend- for Jesus, lover of our souls, You promised You are always with with and us and will be with us to the end of this age.
Lord, pray for Your holy wisdom in her life while handling her children, pray that You would meet her at the point of her need, in the wonderful name of Jesus we ask. Amen.
To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul;
in you I trust, O my God.
Do not let me be put to shame,
nor let my enemies triumph over me.
No one whose hope is in you
will ever be put to shame,
but they will be put to shame
who are treacherous without excuse.
Show me your ways, O LORD,
teach me your paths;
guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.
Psalm 25:1-5
