for a friend

Please pray for my friend Jenny. She wants to meet me more often than I want to meet her. I find it difficult to tell her this without hurting her feelings. I can see so much she needs Jesus- I have prayed so much for her and gave her a Bible- but I cannot see any brokenness there for Jesus. I wish she would confide in me more - its like there is a wall of steel around her. if there is something I am not saying or doing or seeing please pray that the Lord would make it really clear to me. I would like to see her free. Then it would not really be a problem for me to meet her because she would be my sister.

Thank you for prayingJesus-signJesus-cross

Lord, please help Jenny and the person who prays for her here. You know their needs and their struggles. Thank You, Lord. In the name of Jesus I pray and give thanks. Amen

I’ll be praying for Jenny, asking the Lord to draw her into a personal relationship with Himself. May God bless you as you seek to be faithful in expression His love to others.

RE: for a friend

You are looking at this in the wrong light. It's a privilege to be able to have the opportunity to share the gospel with others and she is willing. The issue here seems to be whether you want to go down the road with her and see her come out the other end as a new creature in Christ and that can be like the proverb about the man who builds a tower, whether he is able to finish it. The highest rate of salvation comes from "Friendship evangelism. Sometimes God puts people on our paths to show us how to extend Christ's love toward those who live in darkness. I will be praying for Jenny.

Thank you for your answer
The problem is that I have to watch Jenny get drunk and take Jesus name in vain frequently, gossip etc.. This doesn't shock me but I feel weighed down in her company. I have been told I need to guard my heart.
I have spent many many years praying for her and in her company- but it is now exhausting me. Of course I would love to see it finished but it seems nothing is getting through and I am not sure God wants me to be so heavy hearted. When I share the treasures of the gospel with her, the lack of reaction feels like it is being trampled on in a subtle way. It is also said that we should wipe the dust of our feet- but I have persevered- maybe too long. It is indeed a privilege to share the gospel with the unsaved and I am well aware of this- it is wonderful that other friends and strangers have listened and ask and enquire and share- it is truly a joy. But the reason I asked for prayer is not only for Jenny but also for myself- because this is getting me down- I have come up against a wall of steel. I feel trapped for some reason.
I hope you are able to understand the situation more now and maybe you can pray for both of us. I would truly appreciate it.Jesus-sign
