This has been a stressful year (since Sept. 2008). My husband was laid off from his company after 26 years of work when they decided to close the plant he worked for in TN. He couldn't find work in the particular field in the area we lived in, so a recruiter found him a job in NC, so we left "our home", dear friends, etc. and tried to settle in this large city in NC in Dec. 2008. It hasn't been easy but I've tried to make the best of it. Luckily I found a great job in January of this year and was enjoying it and we were doing pretty good.

Shortly after Christmas, my father was diagnosed with liver cancer and passed away in April of this year Right around the same time my father-in-law was diagnosed with bladder cancer and he passed away in July! (2 Fathers within mere months of one another)

My husband and I needed a break desperately and decided to take a vacation to the beach during my birthday in September. While we were there, my 70 year old Mother called me to tell me during a routine Mammogram, the radiologist discovered she had Breast Cancer and she was facing a double mastectomy!!!!

Exactly one month later, I was called into my boss's office (along with 5 others) and handed my lay off notice "due to downsizing".

My request is....please pray that our Lord heals my Mother after her surgery and no more cancer is in her body

I recently went on an interview and have been called back for a 2nd one today and would love to have this job. It is very close to where I live. I wouldn't have to commute 45 minutes as I did before. I know so many are out of work and are in worse shape and me and I pray for them as well. I am older and am competing with so many younger candidates.

Lord I lift to you in prayers this daughter of yours who has gone through so much in just one years. Continue to give her the strength she needs to see her through it all. Help her find another job soon, this time a better one closer to her home with good pay and benefits. Also Lord I pray you will give her mother a complete healing from the breast cancer, may it not be as bad as the doctor has told her, and may she have many more years to praise and glorified Your Holy Name Heavenly Father in good health. Help this whole family, may her husband be able to continue in his job performing very well so he will be able to keep it, also help him to be successful in it. May your perfect will be done on their behave and for your Honor and Glory, I pray and thank you in Jesus Precious Name, Amen!
