Suicidal thoughts, depression & alcoholism

Dear Lord,

You know me inside out! I cannot hide anything from You. Lord, please help me, heal me, restore me and set me free. You know how lonely I am and how much I am struggling.

I just want to be Your child and live a good live.

Please forgive my sins.

In Jesus name...Amen

RE: Suicidal thoughts, depression & alcoholism

Standing in alignment with HIM, means giving up those things that are offensive to HIM, I pray that you have the fortitude to let go of the alcohol, & stand still. Seek the help you need, but sober.
If you need help with staying sober, then there's your plug in to others, & where you can talk about that which is important, GOD.
You are keeping the focus away from God & on yourself by drinking.
We all struggle, one way or another, God Asks us to be strong,
drop the defenses & stop hiding under the blankies.
Think of yourself as a child, you can come out of your room now,
because God is with you.
HE Holds our hands every step of the way.
So, put down the bottle, the blanky, & take the thumb out of mouth Smile, stand straight & hold on to HIM, get the help you need, or at least put down the bottle long enough to go out & be.
God is I AM. "Be Still & Know That I Am God." That means standing still & tall, straight, that you can fight the fight.
The battle is for God, we have to take the focus off ourselves to keep fighting, we are for CHRIST, ("who can be against us."
that includes our very selves).

RE: Suicidal thoughts, depression & alcoholism

I hope you dont' mind me saying more on this prayer post.
It is helpful for me to write, for I feel moved in The Spirit when I do.
(thanks for listening / or you can scan down further to another post Smile ).

Picture this..

what if you were a child, & you had a mother &/or father, that would dote on you, they would come over & cuddle you & love on you, & just thought you were the best thing there is this side of the planet.
& you couldn't get away from them, you giggle, & laugh inside because they make you laugh & feel safe, loved. Couldn't be better..
Maybe think of this. That God Is Like This, JESUS, this is how HE LOVES us, that all the love we can imagine, that is who HE IS To us.
EACH OF US that are called to CHRIST, HE LOVES us up, we can't get away from HIS LOVE. Of course we are children, we are innocents, & that love heals us.
Well, that is lovely if we are fortunate to have a parent that loves us this much or relative or whatever the situation, but that is not always the case & even if it were, we grow up, so then what?
How am I ever THAT Special again.
This is how I believe JESUS LOVES.
Of course there are rules, but when we have a relative that loves is so much, how could we really do wrong, meaning, we WANT to do well because we are loved so intensely, why do what is wrong?
We are learning as we are in CHRIST, it is a walk, so we learn to walk with more surefootedness, & the relative, again just thinks this is awesome.
My point is this.
We all have our weaknesses, & our strengths. It is in letting go of, our weaknesses, because we don't have to use the crutches anymore when JESUS Is There Loving us, helping us.
Whether that is alcohol, or avoiding that which we don't want to do,
trying harder, or just setting our goals to a higher level as we have achieved something & want to try something new. It's about pleasing GOD, Knowing He Is there, we are never alone,
we are always safe, ALWAYS.
When we hurt someone or someone hurts us, isn't because we are hurt?
Then we lash out or hurt ourselves (not do what we should do), because of.
When we picture ourselves, always nurtured, always safe, knowing that this is the way it is with JESUS, then, "who could be against us?"
Unless, "you become like children, you cannot enter The Kingdom,"
that means accepting Christ's Love, being, ok, with that.
We don't have to worry anymore about displeasing this person or a parent that is always disappointed with us, or a spouse, that maybe we could never please or they leave, or that they were not happy themselves so they hurt us. But now we know that it's ok,
we can see that they don't have that love & we pray they will,
feel just as safe as we do, so they can never feel afraid, or hurt, or bad, again. We can love because we are safe. GOD IS LOVE.
So, we put down the bottle, crawl out from under the blanky,
take our thumb out of our mouths, & go out into the world.
We are safe, we are loved, GOD IS LOVE.
Bless

RE: Suicidal thoughts, depression & alcoholism

Father, I thank you for this posters prayer...he has taken the first step...asking for forgiveness and seeking your help. Father...remind this poster that you find your strength in his weakness. Guide him to a Christian program where he can make his sobriety a priority with others that are in like circumstances. Let a mentor be drawn to him with whom he can share his burdens and his concerns. Let him do his part in his restoration and rest in the assurance that you will do yours. And most of all Father...help him to know deep in his heart that nothing...nothing...can separate him from your love and concern for him. Let him feel your presence and walk in the certainty that you will be with him through this and all things. In Jesus name...Amen!
