I posted a request yesterday about my financial need, but lost the link to the thread. I now have a more urgent financial need. I have 3 bills: health insurance due the 3rd, storage unit rent due the 4th, and college related debt that is being handled by a credit counseling service due the 5th. The ins. and credit counseling bills are taken care of by automatic balance transfer. I have the money for my insurance bill and storage rent, but will be short for the credit counseling bill. The problem is that I've been out of work for 6 yrs. & for the past 41/2 yrs., my dad has been paying my bills in exchange for my acting as "caretaker" to my mother. We believe she has a personality disorder, but she refuses to see a doctor. She displays symptoms of Bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, & Asperger's Syndrome. As a result she does things that become very bothersome for people. For example, if I don't watch her she will go through the phone book & call random strangers at odd times to chat. She used to call people from her church late at night until they complained to the pastor and he advised them to block our number. A local crisis hotline has even blocked our number b/c my mom was abusing it. I basically work between 50-80 hrs./week, sleeping 4 hrs. @ night in order to keep my mom from bothering my dad while he's @ work or sleeping and to try & keep her from bothering people outside of the family. In exchange, I "earn" $3.00/hr toward my bills. My dad usually pays me on the 1st of each month, but b/c I was housesitting for my sister and staying @ her house @ night (I returned home before my mom would wake up) & b/c it's a holiday weekend, my dad decided to not pay me yet. He thought they wouldn't withdraw the money from my account until Tues. My dad's not unreasonable, but he's tired of having to pay me for keeping my mom from bothering him and others(we've had SO many complaints over the years b/c of her behavior). He doesn't realize the burden it is on me and for the past year he's often put off paying me on time. Yet, he AND my mom don't really want me to find full time work and often try to discourage me from applying for full time positions on the rare occasion that they become available. I'm really sorry for the long post. I just feel that I should explain my problem fully for the people kind enough to pray w/ me for this matter. I really need an immediate financial blessing as well as full time work and long term financial blessings so I can get out of this situation before my health is completely ruined and I need to have a caretaker. Lord, show this person what to do in regards to caretaking, if there is a fulltime job out there that is suitable, open this door for them, in the meantime, that her dad pay them on time, so that there is no financial distress. Guide them to other assistance, financial & psychological to deal with the stresses that are in their life.
Bless this person for helping out family, Speak To them Jesus, as times are tough & chaning quickly, that careful thought is made to what to do. Perhaps a part time job & helping their mother but with less hours of doing so, & a part time caretaker to come in during the day to assist at home. That this family continues to work together Lord, for all concerned, that their needs be met.
We thank YOU HEAVENLY FATHER & bless them for caring about this woman, with love. Ease their burdens & guide them.
